Trump’s defence remains despite your adamance. It was a private payment

Trumps new lawyer Rudy Giuliani should be able to mount a credible defense....

www.politico.com...

If only the SDNY could mount a credible prosecution.

Dosen't matter...Pecker is singing and turning over roomful of trump interviews that AMI kept secret.
Should be some interesting reading about trumps pal Epstein and their trips to Lolita island with Clinton.

eta...trump better be nice to Rudy. He could flip as well; there doesn't seem to be a lot of loyalty in the WH.

Paying off people to go away? You mean, the thing Congress has a genuine secret slush fund set up to do?

Yawn. If this is the worst thing they can pin on Trump, we might as well start the canonization process.

If that is indeed the case, then yes it would. But assuming guilt is also evil.

I would be interested to hear if trump traveled with Epstein

It will be fun to watch Dems act like they now care about that

Remember Russian collusion?

What if the National Enquirer colluded with the Russians and Trump?

As far as i’m aware, paying someone for silence, especially with legal contracts and agreements, is not illegal. The allegation is that he used campaign funds to do it, which is a felony.

Very true, but speculation on past performances is only natural. Washington and NY are full of juicy secrets.

And i'll wager trumps old pal Pecker knows some good ones. And now so does Mueller...

Okey.. Serious question, I dont understand. Did Trump pay her with "campaign finances"? And if so why would a billionare do that?

Well, the fact is that Trump self funded aprox 66% of his campaign.

You'd have to delve into the dollars and cents to find out I would suppose.

Now as far as specifics, Cohen paid Daniels/Clifford.

Absolutely wrong.

Ignorance of the law is not a reason for the law not to apply.

If you're doing under the table deals such as paying off porn stars, especially during a national candidacy for President, you need to make sure what you're doing is not illegal.

Kinda like this guy?

www.washingtonpost.com...

The payments, which covered Hunter’s (John Edwards mistress) living, medical and other expenses, are at the heart of the dispute. Prosecutors say that they were campaign contributions because they were meant to prevent Edwards’s 2008 presidential bid from collapsing if the affair was discovered. They say the contributions also exceeded legal limits.

Maybe it's me, but I think it's a big stretch to say the payments were made to "influence the election," as oppose to saving face, by not disclosing embarrassing information about Trump's extramarital affairs.

But they made a deal and said they worked with the campaign, meaning elections.

Under the deal, AMI admitted it worked with the campaign to kill stories “about the presidential candidate’s relationships with women” and agreed to cooperate.

This one will be very hard to get out of or explain. Probably why Trump has been acting more desperate and erratic lately, even for him.

And we already gave a tape of Cohen and Trump, leaked a while ago, where Trump authorizes they be repaid. He makes the call.

Tape?!?

Which law specifically did Cohen get charged and sentenced for?

Be careful what you wish for . If they remove a president over this crap then every president in the future will be under investigation .
