Maybe like you suggested, food voucher or something that would insure that it was not stolen and abused...maybe a debit card that is recharged monthly for so many years, would be more of a viable solution...

I don't knock on one of neighbors doors and demand entry or 100 bucks, and I'd not expect the vice versa. Trumps policies might have gone a bit over the top but his premise is simple and direct-my house, my rules-and it makes sense.

I'd treat a genuine refugee like I'd treat a hobo, if he needed a couch to crash on for a couple of days i would be happy to play the good Samaritan, but under my roof, it's my rules. Behave yourself, clean up after yourself, pledge allegiance to my team, etc.

I actually feel bad for these caravan migrants, it is obvious they have been used and abused. They however, are delusional if any of them thinks
they are getting 50k for a trip back home.

This is too hilarious! I am really starting to believe that Trump is actually behind these recent caravans. Why? I have never known the caravans in the past to be so outrageous! Not just in their demands from the US but how they are actually disrespecting the Mexican citizens in Tijuana who are currently hosting them.

It seems like a perfect plot to get the Mexico to agree to assist with building the wall to ensure no more caravans like this will make their way into Mexico. If the liberals are actually behind this....it is even more hilarious on the serious backfire!

Like all good leftists do, the group who conned them into making the journey told them what they needed to in order to get them going. The worst part is, we have no choice. We can't let them in. Not only is it unlawful, but it would set the precedent that showing up in large groups somehow gives one permission to violate US law. With that said, I'm with you on the good Samaritan. As a Christian, I would feel obligated on an individual level to render some assistance/offer up the couch (like you said) if someone approached me and really had no better options. These folks are no different. But what are we to do? If we let them in, the left and their MSM lapdogs will drone on 24/7 for 2 weeks about it, telling every "Caravan" in South America that our borders are essentially open. I don't mind the people, but it is the precedent I can't live with

South America is largely a dump all on its own, didn't need our help.

You can thank X% of its geography for tolerating socialism/communism and permitting vast concentrations of power ie: tyrannies to exist without checks or balances.

We had that problem here once, too. But we solved it when we declared ourselves an independent Republic and through the hard won war against the British. Nothing prevents sane people in South America from abolishing broken non-functional leftist governments with responsible, sane, thinking RW governments

Good luck South America. But we fought for decades against the invasion of socialism/communism, and many there rejected our aid or outright sided with leftist movements (such as socialism/communism, Venezuela's illegitimate criminal government as an example - note how many times Maduro uses words like "democracy" and "equality"). Don't come crying for the United States's help because socialist governments created the umpteenth failed state.
