Gravity is a scary clown with some red balloons. And yes we all float down here.

Why ask questions? Just enjoy the ride.

IMO, the claim the earth consists of a hard crust, then a layer molten material with solid ball in the middle, was invented by scientists for the purpose of explaining gravity.

So... volcanos

Just imaginary ya?

Do you really think so? I dunno why one would think so but what I've seen on TV looks real to me.

The Earth thickness varies in parts from 800 to 1000 miles approximately.

If most of the inside of the Earth centre was just a mass of molten lava as claimed, the Earth would have split wide open eons ago by the massive pressures alone. Common-sense tells us that and we would be having more volcanic eruptions than we see today as the earths crust weakens over time.

The events of the last 50, 60 years may well be caused or at least contributed to and therefoe hastened by human interference with the forces inside the earths crust. Think in terms of oil drilling and exploitation gold and coal mines and now fracking. This has to be taken into account.

IMO, one of the reasons the old theory is stuck to ridgy is because if they dont then the wont be able to keep a lid on the hollow earth theory - note I only said THEORY.

Ironically enough, the inward pressure of Earth's gravity (form all of the stuff around the core) helps counteract the pressures of the core of the Earth from pushng outward.

It's similar to the Sun, or any star. The pressures from nuclear fusion happening inside the star are balanced by the gravity of the star pushing inward, preventing that nuclear fusion pressure from exploding outward.

Of course, fusion pressures in a star's core are greater than the outward pressure form the Earth's core, but the idea is similar.

I cant believe this thread is still going honestly....

And using Birds as his proof?

(sigh) Birds and planes both use wings for lift.......they get lift because gravity is pulling them down, and the drag and airflow from both sides of the wings keeps them in flight, fighting against gravity ...........

I know thats a really really simplistic view and laymans terms, but thats how it works.......

If there were no gravity or if gravity didnt pull down, they wouldnt "fly" they would float, another reason why vehicles (other than helicopters, quadrocopters etc) need to be aerodynamic in order to stay in flight.......for the same reason in space aerodynamics dont matter......

Again very very simplistic explanation...

Everything must be either 'pulled' to Earth, or it must 'float' above Earth, obviously!!!

You think Earth is round, and flying through 'space', of course.

Then, you believe Earth has an 'orbit', above the Earth, as well.

So Earth will have gravity, 'forcing' objects down to Earth, until high above Earth, where 'gravity' won't hold objects down to Earth anymore, so all objects will 'float' in space, beyond that point.....!!

Proving ignorance is sold worldwide, as if 'fact'..

What proof is there of any objects 'floating' in space, first of all? Nobody can show something 'floats' in space, or even prove space is actually what you claim it to be.

We've never gone into 'space'. Any claims that 'space' exists are from NASA, et al. Nobody else.

You assume NASA's word is sincere, honest, and factual - as a God....

Not about proving it, of course...it's about a belief in God's word, as truth, as fact, and never, ever, shall it be doubted as true, as fact.

What is proven about 'space', being what they claim it is?

And if it was true, what could make gravity hold the moon, near Earth, if everything above Earth is 'floating' without any gravity?? How imaginary can this force be??

Are you serious?

Nothing floats in space... everything is affected by gravity in space

And there is no place in our solar system where something within that space isn't affected by gravity... Everything is pulled toward some celestial body without exception

And theres plenty of other countries that have been to space... Don't believe Nasa, that's fine... look to the other countries that have been to space

Clueless much?

True - gravity is everywhere
Though there are islands of stability in that celestial swamp of gravity where centrifugal and gravitational forces balance out called LaGrangian Points

Lagrangian Point

Interesting...

This still involves gravity though... something that Tweedle-dee up there says is non-existent... because birds can fly

LMAO!!

They almost float, then?

That's so much better, when the moon is grasped onto, and held in place, like a massive vise grip!!

At least you tried...

NO! lol

There is no "floating" in space... get that concept into your head brother!

IF you managed to get into space... past your dome...

And you were going straight up from the earth... you would fall right back down once you stopped accelerating...

You should play the game "kerbal space program"... just for kicks... it might give you an idea of whats going on here

No, because birds are opposing your imaginary force, which would offer resistance to any opposite force, like a bird.

If gravity is a directional force, like you claim it is, then any force opposing it's direction, which you claim is towards the Earth's surface, would offer resistance against any force going the opposite direction...would it not? Obviously, it would...

Forces offer resistance to opposing forces, right?

Where does gravity offer resistance to the force of a bird opposing this greatest force, in the universe?

Gravity - such a powerful force, indeed!

Gravity pulls everything down... and everything resists it...

Why do I have to repeat myself?

Do you know when you are being pulled by another force, or when you are NOT being pulled?

Look at how powerful winds pull on you, for example. You feel the pull from this force. When you walk into the wind, opposite the force of wind, you feel resistance from this force, right?

All forces will show resistance to opposing forces, in the same way. Yes?

When have you ever been pulled by a force, without feeling a pull? Never, right?

Nobody feels a pull from a force beneath them, in a fall. It's simply a fall in air, nothing is 'pulling' us down to the ground below. A pull would be felt, same as any other 'pulls' are felt.

If you were on a platform, 6 feet above ground - first, you jump off the platform, and land on the ground. Then, someone on the ground hooks you with a rope, and pulls you off the platform....

Falling, or being pulled down, are two, very different things. It's that simple.

A force that doesn't force you down to Earth, that offers no resistance to opposing forces like birds, which can stop acting as a force, until it forces a moon way beyond that point, where it wasn't a force....

I can certainly understand how it would be foolish of me to ever doubt such a thing as gravity, yes indeed!!

Well, you understand nothing about the real world apparently... you live in make believe land, where theres a dome over the "plane" of the earth... and the moon is under the sky... SO you doubting reality isn't surprising

The moon is affected by gravity as well, like I've told you before... so are birds, insects, everything that flys… everything that is within out solar system... Everything period...

And we feel the pull of gravity... not you of course, but everyone living in the real world does

Im not going to bother going through that mish mash of gobbledi-goop you call a reply in your previous one

I mean you barely type proper english at times... why are you bothering with basic science when it is clearly beyond you?

Saying it's reality over and over, doesn't make it reality.

yes, now let me quote you repeating over and over that gravity doesn't exist.

No need, its in every post of your on the subject.

So using your own logic you believe gravity does and are just trolling ATS with your flat earth beliefs.

We've never gone into 'space'. Any claims that 'space' exists are from NASA, et al. Nobody else.

No

kids have done this and confirmed space exists, children of the age of 12.

So in a few years you can get there yourself or understand how to do it yourself, just a few more years.

And if it was true, what could make gravity hold the moon, near Earth, if everything above Earth is 'floating' without any gravity?? How imaginary can this force be?? Are you serious?

The moon has its own gravity just like you have have your own albeit much much less due to your mass.

anything with mass has gravity.

If you give in to that force, you do not feel it anymore.

Example: Were you pulled on your sleeve by another person? What do you feel "pulling" on your sleeve if you were giving in and follow that person? Nothing. Because you do not resist anymore.

Like a person falling down. No more resistance against Earth's gravity.

if gravity does not exert a force on objects [ as claimed by troll ] - why is it demonstrably easier and requires less WORK . look up the physics definition . to run down stairs - and more WORK and effort to run up stairs
