Just a memory of how the last Harry Potter books were safeguarded from "spoilers".

And yet, it tragically happened.

Freezing Harry Potter fans standing around blocks until the bookshop opens in 2005-2007.

And here comes some screaming troll: "Hey! Snape kills Dumbledore"!

And some people were pretty upset.

But that was just the start of the spoilers and leakages.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a 8th (I think) book, but they never bothered due to all the leaks and spoilers.

I never understood people who would get so angry at stuff like that.

1. People can lie about stuff like that.

2. Even when it's true, so what? A simple plot point like that never tells you how or why that happens. A lot about your perception in a story can change based on how you get to that revelation.

The troll probably thought he was doing everyone a favor and not being a dump ###.
Surely he wouldn't have been so unthoughtful as to spoil it for everyone?

Now one might think this is a minor gaffe - just like telling people how a movie is going to end (thanks for ruining The Titanic for me, pesky history books).

But no.
People take it very, very seriously.

Thanks a lot King James Bible for ruining Mel Gibson's The Passion.

It was nail-biting at a point.
Would they crucify Him or not?

But I already knew what was going to transpire.

So the whole hocus pocus happened because Snape liked Harry's mom, who also did Harry's dad and Voldemort.

I'm waiting to read a new series from her perspective.

I'm not sure what form of contraception they use at Hogwarts, but I always suspected Snape was Harry's real dad.

Harry's mum:

"Dear diary, two guys are interested in dating me at the moment.

The one was one was Gryffindor and the other Slytherin.

The one brought me cookies, and the other one played me his KISS records.

The one seems like a keeper, but the other one is just hot and rebellious.

I'm really confused, so I did them both.

Slytherin is better than Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw combined!

But I rather go for the nerd, because there's no future prospects in a man who just plays with his wand and summons the powers of darkness.

Sigh ... the life of teenage witch is never easy."
