Ocasio-Cortez is institutional liberalisms' penance for Palin

My personal judgement is that liberalism is using Ocasio-Cortez is an sin-offering.
I realize this is also a bit of hyperbole... but not by much.
She is being used by the media and entertainment liberals to burn off their bad karma for betraying their claims of feminism.
So many of them went on a frenzy of Sarah Palin hate, that they exposed how empty their self-professed morality was.

When people have beliefs about themselves, they (generally) use other people to reinforce those beliefs.
I recall the hate wave directed at Sarah Palin as nearly instantaneous.

Many vocal, self-proclaimed liberals said and did things in complete contradiction to their 'convictions.'

She was called (among many things):
Caribou Barbie
Kuntt
Retard
Stupid
Redneck
White Trash
Whore
Liar
Unqualified
Ignorant

This defense of Cortez is pretty obvious to me... or anyone that is not attached to the need to feel 'moral.'
She has made many gaffs that are nearly identical to Palin's. Only one of the two I know of has been openly assaulted by the media culture.

Remember these?
Reporter moves next door

Letterman makes rape joke about 14 year old girl

Email hacked

Hustler makes Palin porn movie

Influenced the shooting of Gabby Giffords

Sued out of the Governorship

I have no illusions that this hypocrisy is purely a liberal one. None the less, I am just highlighting this issue.

Ocasio. Every time I see her name, all I see is "Casio", the manufacturer of my very first keyboard. I got it when I was really little: we still lived in the first house. Maybe 4 or 5. It had tiny keys and was only two octaves, but I loved that keyboard...wish I still had it. Ocasio.

"Accentuate the positive."

I don't think anything going on now has anything to do with Palin.

That was 10 years ago, she hasn't been relevant since.

If you're saying Ocasio-Cortez is a joke and should be mocked, then I agree 100 percent.

If you're not saying that, then I didn't understand the thread.

She almost makes me feel sorry for the Democrats, almost.

She could go either way and not last a year or become the new face of hate in America.

She could someday be speaker of that house, or section, or branch... or whatever she calls it. She'll figure it out after somebody explains it to her another 10 or 12 times.

Sarah Palin is the reason I voted for Obama and not McCain. Don’t support the name calling, but unqualified was an apt description at the time. Big difference between VPOTUS and one step away, and Congresswoman for some podunk district in NY. Given the same choice, I would vote Obama again. Just like I will 100% vote for anyone running against HRC.

I think you’ll find there were just about as many (R) that were frustrated with choice of Palin as VP that campaign.

Now Tina Fey...

Turns out McCain could have done the full eight and your fears were wrong. But that’s okay, Palin was never in a position to be president and Obama only turned citizens into subjects by dictating what you had to purchase with your own money.

But nope, Palin didn’t risk misspeaking as the never would have been president.

You don’t know that, as you have no way to know what the stress of the office would have done to him. That’s the advantage of being a true Independent. I can decide, when I vote, what I think would be best for my country. Sarah Palin was not it. I am not beholden to (R) or (D), though I do lean conservative.

Allow me to thank you for 8 years of the "mess" iah.

Whatever you were afraid Palin might be, I could see that Obama already was going to be.

You mistake our mirth for fear. Do yourself a favor and never try your hand at psychology. You would make an abysmal counselor with those skills.

Some of her tweets have been eye opening. The fact that, for some reason, a bunch of fortune 500 CEOs and lobbyists were involved in the orientation of the new members of congress, and the event was co-hosted by a lobbyist group. I didn't realize we'd already reached the level of corporate oligarchy that allows lobbyists to sit down newly elected congressmen and woman to essentially say "This is how the game's played kids."

I don't mind Oscario...If you're going to give me a liberal, give me an actual liberal like her. Not like Clinton or Pelosi or any of those slimeballs. Oscario believes what she says and I believe does want to make the US a better place. I may disagree with some of her stances but that's why we have so many people in congress...One person can't make all the decisions.

Palin on the other hand. I've been guilty of calling her a wacko in the past, I'll stand by that now. She's a person that's not fit to govern anything. I would never want her "leading" or "representing" me in anyway. And if you were to say that about Oscario, I'm not going to argue with you. Have at her.

But even with Palin, I'd rather have a conservative like her than the sleezy little lawyer/banker types like Cruz or Rubio.

I like Oscario, I think she has her heart in the right place and would also act in her capacity to do what she truly believes is best for the people of our country. I think she may have a partially false fact set, so i hope she does not lazily toe the line doing what other people say will help people, rather than putting in the time to completely understand all the issues at hand.
