Let's see.......Alaska was sold the the US by a Russian government that no longer exists, and in fact was exterminated (quite literally) by the Russians themselves.......who then installed a new government that has also since ceased to exist, leaving them with their current government......

Exactly who over there can lay claim ? The original brokers of the deal are not around anymore.

Sounds like you're SOL.

International Court of Law? ROFLMAO - Yah, the US pretty much doesn't give a crap on what they rule. Go ahead and get a ruling and see what happens.

The simple fact is: Alaska will remain a state of the United States of America, and Putin is not that stupid in thinking he could take it with force, considering the massive retaliation the US would deliver to him and Russia.

Why? Nothing in there was untrue, maybe if they taught actual history in Mother Russia you'd know this.

You're right. There was both American intervention in Russia and occupation. In addition, we fought with each other right in Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Cuba, and God knows where. But, oddly enough, the Russians do not dislike Americans. On the contrary, if you remember the story, it was the help of the Russian emperor that helped the northerners win the civil war in the 19th century. Their direct descendant is the Republican Trump.
If we are confronted with heads in a war, the world will end. If we, America and Russia, find a common language, the world will flourish. We made our choice. Word for America

Oh no, Alaska.

Oh nooooooooooooooooo

Don't let them take the best state of the USA, where temperatures are mild, life feels like a vacation, and families are well fed, thriving, and children play outside year round in fields of daisies.

You sound like the kind of person that belongs in Florida with the rest of the Floridian nutjobs that think anything below 90 degrees is some kind of lifeless hell where there's nothing to do and everybody is miserable. I would personally love Alaska, any time of the year.
Do... Do you live in Florida? I won't even be surprised.

Russia wants the state or maybe Compensation that they have a legal right to
Stolen land is a big issue, maybe you haven’t noticed
Russian casinos in Alaska

A legal right to in an international court, you might just have to cough up some compensation

Enlighten us oh wise one, please do tell how they would win and If they did how you think the United States won't just tell them to go # themselves.

See if you can comprehend this:

"Magic 8 Ball, will Russia get jack **** for Alaska because of this nonsense?"

*shakes Magic 8 Ball*

Magic 8 Ball says, 'No'.

History tells a different story. The Russians are just pissed because with the US having Alaska, it is competition for them claiming the damned Arctic.

www.nytimes.com...

Theories even abound that Russia got stiffed; that the gold used to pay for the sale sank on a ship; or that robbers seized the gold. (One scholar, Aleksandr Petrov of Moscow State University, refuted those theories by tracking down a document showing that nearly all of the money went to build railroads.)

I seen your word "maybe" in there and that's why my response had the words "would" and "if" in it. Perhaps you should look up "reading comprehension."

So do you have an appropriate response or were you just talking out of your ass?

I didn’t create a pretend scenario
You created a pretend scenario and then wanted me to comment on your pretend scenario

Your words like you are a little lost on common sense

How about another rival silly scenario
Russia takes the US to court and the US is found guilty of stealing land
Please an appropriate response, feel free to talk at your ass, I haven’t stopped you yet so just continue

They have probably been upset for a very long time, gold, energy, land, wet naval base?
Maybe they think they have a legal right and will challenge, maybe.

You didn't? Dont you remember what you write just hours later? Remember writing this?

Or are you saying that statement you made above is not a pretend scenario? If so then show me where the state of Russia is taking any sort of legal action as far as Alaska? Or even where the state of Russia expressed interest in going to court on the matter? Oh, You can't? Because your statement came from fantasy land?

Think they have a legal right? I see your point but..

The Russians proposed the sale; due to the civil war in the U.S., the Russian proposal languished yet Russians kept it in the table the entire time.

The offer was agreeded upon by both parties after the U.S. civil war, ratified by both parties, monies exchanged as agreed after going through the U.S. Senate and signed by Johnson.

There is no more a right to Alaska by the new Russian establishment than Mexico has to the S.W. United States. There was a push earlier this year by politicians in Mexico to nullify the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

There will never be a substantiated claim to Alaska by Russia.

Pipe dream by a few Russian' s and a few politicians.
