Yes, and I know it's bad form for me to just throw out a bunch of Wikipedia links, also my post was somewhat incomplete.

I'm thinking outloud, and about some references in history compared to the current situation. Obviously, the more epic the better. It really gives some perspective to "things".

I was really liking the previous historic comparisons on the last few pages, so I wanted to throw something together of my own. It keeps me out of trouble.

So, I guess Admiral Rogers plays the General Butler character....?

In 1933, he became involved in a controversy known as the Business Plot, when he told a congressional committee that a group of wealthy industrialists were planning a military coup to overthrow Franklin D. Roosevelt, with Butler selected to lead a march of veterans to become dictator, similar to Fascist regimes at that time. The individuals involved all denied the existence of a plot and the media ridiculed the allegations, calling it a joke and a fantasy, but a final report by a special House of Representatives Committee confirmed some of Butler's testimony.

Posse comitatus came into effect in 1878. This happebed in 1933. i am guessing we have no idea who these people who organized were other than "corporations". And we are still under their attack.

Thanks for that link to Techno Fog's informative explanation of why some border areas are less appealing to smuggling and illegal crossings. Jim Acosta went to that location because it's NOT where the crossings occur.

He should go to east side of where the CA-Mex border fence ends...and camp out there for the night.

Synchronicity as I was thinking earlier today that it will take years to re-educate humanity with truths.

It has to be done fully and unforgettably in order to stop any repeat... I guess that could take two generations to be deeply enough engrained in the psyche?

What I find humorous is the complete evolution of the PC movement. It was never sustainable, it was a fad. The more we try to be PC, the more we realize it's not possible in an "open" society. I have NO desire to insult anyone based on color or sexual orientation.....It's all good. Until you tell me to...Whoops. Now I am going to just be a dick..didn't have to be that way. Political correctness was a disaster waiting to happen. because once those easily offended, became offended, they broke their own rules.....they we're Politically incorrect. Oxymoron.
