pteridine, whilst your IntraDelta maths is correct, the time used isn't.

Here is a pic of the watch, rotated so 12 oclock at top:


The 40 on the small dial is actually 40/60ths of a second. So the time is either:

1) 03:14:00 and 40/60ths of a second, or
2) 15:14:00 and 40/60ths of a second.

Doing Q searches on 15:14 gives:

The watch is an IWC www.iwc.com...

It is a chronograph. Note that the time on the minute hand is not precisely at 3:14. I believe that 3:14:40 is correct and the large second hand is part of a stopwatch function. The frequency of the watch is 1/4 second so the bottom dial must be a second hand.

15:14:40 should be considered also. A $12,000 chrono should be precise and the hands are definitely not at 03:15 or 15:15
