Wow, that's total BS. All the carriers have been pulled into port several times since WWII. There's no "defensive position involved".

I had read that from a twitter site. It was actually 2017 according to several news sources. Navy is always in defensive position.

The most recent carrier troubles began in 2015, and by the end of 2016 all carriers were either in their homeport or slated to be. In September of this year, there were fewer carriers deployed than any point since 1992, the last time readiness rates were this low. We're down one carrier with Enterprise being retired and about to be disposed of, so the already high operations tempo is even higher.

No, people looking for weird things are seeing it and connecting it to something unusual. There has been this much attention on it for years. There's even a B-2 twitter account. They release videos showing off its capabilities off and on throughout the year.
