3 moons discoved by the Cassini space probe have been given names: Methone, Pallene, and Polydeuces. There are 3 moe orbital object that await confirmation as moons.

Three new moons discovered around Saturn by the Cassini spacecraft have been given provisional names.
The discoveries were made last year, not long after Cassini had arrived in orbit around the ringed planet.

Two moons detected in August have been given the names Methone and Pallene, while another found in October has been provisionally named Polydeuces.

Dang, I was really hoping they would have settled for Dogg, or Moon of Dogg for the official name of one of them... Oh well, maybe with these next three candidates...

How did they get these names? What do these names mean? ...And... Who decides what solar bodies, get what names?
