Ha i know Marines tend to need special treatment, but a full scale mockup seems just a bit excessive?

M ockup for OPFOR training.

Is this going to become a new thing, they going to build a SU-57 next? Seems a tad excecissive IMO although might be worth it for trolling the Chinese satellite photanalysts though lol.

It's actually a fairly common practice, you just don't see most mockups in the public eye.

Could you imagine if a pilot from a F-35 partnering nation defected to Russia or China? Yikes.

Considering they already have J-20 and Su-57, probably won't make any difference.

It’s also an advantage to get hands on with enemy gear and the more relevant argument would be the F-35 design documents (at least a portion of them) that China got their hands on.

Considering that the F-35 is generations beyond both the J-20 and Su-57 a live example would be far more damaging.

Indeee I wasn’t arguing that the J20 or SU57 are in the same ball park was just disagreeing with the guy I was replying to saying that having a F35 wouldn’t help the Chinese or Russians.
