She's a politician who spews any idealist left wing talking point available. She's either stupid or naive and immature maybe a mix.

Nothing she presents has any chance without a 90% tax on everyone, not just the rich.

Here is what scientists have to say about the cost of global warming if nothing is done about it:

Failure to meet the United Nations' 2ºC warming limits will lead to sea level rise and dire global economic consequences, new research has warned. A study found flooding from rising sea levels could cost $14 trillion worldwide annually by 2100, if the target of holding global temperatures below 2ºC above pre-industrial levels is missed.

Science Daily

So she is factually correct about the possibility of saving money by combating climate change. Here is another article about the costs of climate change to the U.S. economy specifically.

Climate change has cost U.S. taxpayers more than $350 billion over the past decade, according to a report released last year from nonpartisan federal watchdog the Government Accountability Office. By 2050, that figure will be $35 billion per year. Costs include clean up and disaster assistance from flooding and storms, which are set to increase under rising temperatures.

Home Personal Finance Climate change has cost the government $350 billion — here’s what it will cost you

This is the reality of the situation. Sometimes I think conservatives just don't mesh well with science. As for using climate change as a way to bring wealth to the common man, I think she is reaching at the moment.

Climate change will cost us money to prevent as well, it just saves money in the long run. In fact, we might end up worse off as far as spending goes for a decade or so in order to mitigate future losses. So I must be missing something if she has an idea to turn that around into profit.

What do these joke meme's prove exactly though. AOC never said any of this stuff, so its really you folks making up stupid crap that you said and attributing it to AOC, in an effort to look clever and make her look silly. The thing I can't reconcile is it just patently seems to imply the opposite.

I guess if these are all self deprecating joke meme's aimed internally at those opposed to AOC I can see some humor in them.

Look at the first definition... you see those four little words: "with intent to deceive"?

No one believes she said she thought "built in antenna" refers to a place... it's an exaggeration based on other crazy things she has said... like her "inauguration" and how she will be "signing bills." It's no different than the old joke that "southern boys raise livestock; rednecks get intimate with them." No one believes that... at least no one with more than two functioning neurons.

In other words... it's a JOKE!

It's called "humor." Some people enjoy laughing, and someone like Cortez just makes the jokes write themselves.

It's not a serious attempt to 'prove' anything. It's just funny.

At least now I know why the traditional comedy outlets have gone so far downhill and become so un-funny. You guys just don't get humor! So, since y'all managed to turn the comedic outlets, like Comedy Central and Saturday Night Live, into havens of PC and political voices instead, we'll get our comedy right here, with the fools you elect.

Oh I can see the humor in it. That's not whats on display here though ( on account of you and yours not posting humorous meme's about Trump and others of his ilk). Unfortunately if I asked you and yours if you believed any of it and I'd get an overwhelming affirmation. That's the point its no longer humorous (at least about AOC, as I mentioned earlier its still humorous in a self deprecating way).

See? That's exactly why she has become the brunt of the jokes. You illustrated it perfectly!

Humor does not have to be fairly distributed to be funny. Humor does not have to be PC to be funny. Humor does not have to be equal to be funny. Those are PC restrictions that take the funny out of humor. Saturday Night Live is a great example... the old days with Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Dan Alroyd, Gilda Radner, et. al. were hilarious! I loved watching Saturday Night Live back then! Then came PC, and suddenly everything had to be 'non-offensive' (at least to the left, not so much to conservatives) and the humor went away.

During the 2016 campaign, I laughed my butt off with Jimmy Fallon making fun of everyone, including Trump. Heck, Trump himself got in on the jokes! Then Jimmy went PC and he wasn't funny any more. I haven't watched him since.

Yes, HUMOR IS VERY MUCH ON DISPLAY HERE regardless of whether you want to label it as such or not. If you can't accept it, too bad for you. The bulk of us are laughing like crazy. And we're going to keep laughing; there's not a darn thing you can do about it.
