I was recently introduced to this very funny young man by the name of jinx yeo, and this got me to thinking about how many other gems may be out there that have escaped my attention and was hoping to get acquainted with a few others, anyhow without more to do enjoy...

Where do I start? My top three, in no particular order would have to be George Carlin, Billy Connolly and of course Robin Williams......not that he did much stand up per se

The funniest SOB has to be Theo Von.
Of course, it all depends on what you find funny.
But his style matches my perverse humor.

I'm definitely showing my age here, but Steven Wright is my favorite stand up comedian ever.
He tends to work "blue" most of the time, which is inconsequential due to his routine being so strange. I love George Carlin, Sam Kinison, and the like any time. But if I had to choose only one, this is the one I choose.

Bill Hicks has always been a favorite of mine. I've recently come across Daniel Stross, and it's comedy gold in my opinion. He has a few special's on Netflix. Also, Sarah Silverman. And although the allegations came out I still think Louis CK is hilarious.

Bill Bailey is a good shout.

However, for me, 2 stand out. Johnny Vegas - funniest person alive. You can go see him on consecutive nights and get a completely different show each time. Just think how difficult that is. Always hysterical, particularly with hecklers (including getting them up on stage to do some stand up).

Jason Byrne. Not only is he hysterically funny but i once saw him take all of us out the venue and hide behind him behind a fire door after someone got up to go the toilet after 5 minutes of his show. The look of confusion on the poor guys face when he came back into the venue!

Norm MacDonald might be the greatest of all time.

George Carlin (on politics), Robin Williams and Billy Connelly (on pretty much anything), Eddie Murphy (Raw), Gallagher (on the English language), Sam Kinison (on starving Africans and Bob Ross), Andrew Dice Clay (nursery rhymes), Steven Wright, are all some of my favorites.

Norm MacDonald and Dennis Leary are good too.

Look for three chord song...can't remember who does it, but it's hysterical.

And yeah, I get all the hate on Bill Cosby, it's earned....but doesn't change that his stand up was some funny stuff, especially his material about kids.

People have already said some of my favorites.

Carlin and Hicks are classic.

Norm Macdonald is unbelievably great.

Shout out to the person who said robert schimmel; like listening to a more articulate version of my dad telling dirty jokes.

I would add doug stanhope; very crude but is making good societal points while being hilarious.

Louis CK still funny.

SO is bill cosby, though obviously..., Bllagh.

I appreciate comedians that can be very PG without swearing and still be funny, like Jim Gaffigan.

ANd of course Rodney dangerfiled was so fast with his delivereries is hard to catch your breath laughing.
