Drug Awareness Day 2-25-05

I discovered some very, very interesting material in a college course concerning drug abuse and illegal/abusable drug history in general.

In the textbook that came along with the class there was a reference to an early 20th century Macy's catolog featuring an intraveinous drug kit containing several hypodermic needles and multiple vials of coc aine and heroin solutions, ready to be shipped to the masses. YOU COULD ACTUALLY ORDER THIS!!

I don't feel like digging throung the ol' intranet for articles and a quick search on Google didn't yeild anything to obviouly useful. But I wouldn't post it if it weren't true.

Wow that WAS awesome! I wonder what this country would be like if some of these drugs were still legal. Probably worse in a way but I think if weed and other drugs like '___' and Shrooms were legal, things would be alright.
