Do We Really Care If Humans Become Extinct?

I certainly hope there is some kind of point. But as I get older I start to subscribe to the idea that we each make the point to our lives. We have to give it a point. I've always been big on being a kind and caring and giving person. So that at least the point to my life was helping others lives run better and smoother and happier.

For me the worst part of being alive is knowing you will die, and anticipating what it's going to feel like. But then again the thought of living forever scares me too. There is a lot of dichotomy to my beliefs and feelings on life lol.
