So a multi billion dollar wall is ineffective?.....Who would have thought!

Hasn't been built yet because the Dems are blocking it at all costs, including at the cost of the dreamers they supposedly care so much about. Looks like the wall at Tijuana worked or do you have evidence to the contrary?

no matter, the people will still want enforcement. Not every cali speaks for the public. nor do their sanctuary places.

The Atlantic is a hungry bitch. That's why. LoL One bad gust of wind and without proper steering you could end up God knows where; in or heading out to the Atlantic Ocean. Or upside down!

Imagine: At dusk or a worse, at night, trying to read a nautical map and use a compass for the 4th time ever....if you didn't just buy those items that day from some shady guy that made them himself and then sold them to you along with your wire mesh, soda bottles, and old bed sheets.

Maybe you have a flotilla with one good boat with local fishermen onboard that are guiding countless dots on the ocean that just drift apart.

How long until the local hired fishermen head back and don't rescue all the straddlers?

Maybe you go it alone, but your soda bottles start to warp in the intense heat of the sun and start to lose their seal around the cap...letting air out and water in.

Maybe all is well on day one, and one morning or one night, a giant swell flips you over in your sleep and you start to swim until you die of exhaustion. Or until the sharks smell the wounds on your hands from building the boat.

It's nuts. These people will die in the hundreds if they try this as a group.

Was imagining GPS and Waze app type app for the caravan, would solve some of those issues, little solar emergency charge kit, in dry container...of course.

Have seen some nice boats built out of plastic bottles...cost effective for sure, for those on a shoestring budget... pvc mast and plastic sails,...

some flippers might help...though for sure sounds gnarley, ...just surfing is scary enough for me personally, especially when waves are pounding.

My guess is, there is a wind current and there are better times of the year and season to try it...

Thinking if someone had some crafts for sale, be it inflatable sail boat, kayak, wind surf, or any other suitable craft and has a sail to harness the wind, would be okay.

Was thinking they could tether together, make a like chains, that could be quick release, and be anywhere from a few tethered to dozens or more daisy chained... would look cool from aerial view, and speaking of, they could use drones and remote control boats to help.

All this, think would be less expensive then hiring a mule...

All of the above is in reference to going out to international waters.....either way, for sure would keep the Coast Guard busy and Navy would be needed and some subs with torpedoes.

Now for getting over the wall?

Will start another thread on ways to get over it...

Think human catapult and airbag!

All this means is that the increased security at what passes for the border wall right now is working. It is forcing traffic to areas where it is easier to stop crossings.

Some of them. The vast majority of bad hombres and contraband arrives the same way the othee people do. Because it's cheap and easy.
Hiring a boat takes time and money and the longer you are in transit in the border zone, the higher the odds of being caught.
Jumping the wall with a backpack near a town takes seconds and costs zero extra, and gets you right into society to disappear.

a reply to: jjkenobi trying to picture 1000 or so in rafts and how the coast guard would deal with that...do you think they will open fire on them with some lead or you think they might just resort to water cannons?

I think they would have a ship ready to take them back. The military is proficient at defense. Maybe the ones trying to get into a place illegally should also wonder if it is worth their lives.

What happens if they drown someone?

Don't get on a raft if you can't swim.
