This Macron guy is nothing but an austerity advocate. We forget there was an austerity movement that the press played down and now it’s largely NO LONGER IDENTIFIED yet still politicians are trying to hoist it on Europe and the US.

When people realize it’s not globalism, immigration, or the left/right issue but greed and elitism and the super rich’s stranglehold over the politicians then progress will be made or a true world-wide revolution will happen.

Allegedly, some of the polis tackling the riots in Paris had joined forces with rioters/protesters(find it hard to believe all the same).

Is there a revolution in the air?

The Gas Tax is Basically putting a " Cap " on Middle-class Income in France . Enough of a Reason to Get Rid of their Current Governmental Leadership . Vive la Révolution !

Well, Police pay for Petrol also.

I suppose if they can't beat them, then they may as well join them mentality might have been at play?

Obviously, these protests or riots, no matter which way "They" try and slice it, are about more than just the increase in fuel cost to fund a reduction of the use of fossil fuels.

Think it turns out the alleged Police support was of a rather more symbolic nature by way of them simply removing their helmets. But its the thought that counts i suppose, if true that is.

The reason is simple. The rich get richer and the lower and middle classes in advanced societies are getting poorer.

If the people denied the sub-divisions created by the elite, we'd be more coherent and better able to resist their imposed deprivations and weakenings.

If we have to work to provide and maintain life, we are of the working classes. We should stand tall knowing that by our sweat and skill, the world belongs to us all and not just them.

The power is ours but each time we polarise amongst ourselves, we relinquish a little more of that power to those that are so terrified of it, they must seek to subvert, weaken and control us.

They keep giving us politicians or leaders who are easily controlled and basically bought and paid for.

Rather than solutions, we get more problems because these leaders don’t really want to bring real change.

Macron wants to tax the lower and middle class and make them pay for Global warming.

Why don’t these leaders come together and massively cut their defense budgets?

No, they won’t do that because one of the elite groups, the Military Industrial Complex and the arms industry-- is part of the elites that control them.

that would never happen in the US the police departments are trained to see the people are criminal offenders who need to be put in check at all cost

they would shoot you first

That would depend on how many people there were and the media coverage that was in tow i imagine.

Else it would sink any POTUS and accompanying administration willing to do such a thing in this day of age.

Suppose "They" could get away with it, to a degree, if they claimed the protestors were armed to the teeth, which let's face it in the US, may well be the case.

But if say the numbers were in the 100s of thousands, they are not going to shoot, or if they do they better well hope they have enough ammunition for everyone.

it's been proven repeatedly that police department and other law enforcement agency's have no problem using whatever force is necessary to achieve their goal

I dont dought the case really.

Its also frowned upon to fire into 100,000s of unarmed people whilst on live TV in this day of age.

Some may call such an act of depravity, a holocaust, or night of the long knives, or something similar.

Can you imagine the response of the rest of the population of the US nevermind the entire rest of the world?

That would probably cause a civil war if any mad bastard was stupid enough to perpetrate such an act.

I agree at this current moment it may seem like a stretch but it's far more likely that something bad happens with law enforcement than it does with the actual military

the major difference being the culture of local PD's. the culture of the military would never allow them to fire openly on civilians even though there has been a lot of mistakes

local PDs see themselves at odds with the community they aren't friendly to outsides and the thin blue line is everything, they are more likely to not be on your side than on your side

French police are attacking protestors. VidClips posted to Twitter are being removed from Twitter (by Twitter?) before many people can see them. I just tried to paste a link to one here, and it vanished before I could copy the URL.

Is every government, news outlet, and social media platform, now our enemy? Enemies of the world's population?!
