If one were to work at Google, specifically in the department that administers YouTube, could you get in trouble for watching videos?

... or at Facebook, would you get in trouble for being on Facebook 24/7?

It all depends on your perspective, I suppose.

Another one of these? Every couple of days we get these threads where "YouTube is down!" and then other members immediately reply that it's working just fine for them.

I'm curious- what brought you to the conclusion that YouTube was down? It wasnt working for you, obviously, but was there anything else? Did you read it on another site? Did you check with other people to see if their YouTube was down?

Mostly punk classics -- 80's ballads in double-time. Just about anything from Cock Sparer to Dead milkmen. I need upbeat tunes to stay focused. So many people say to listen to music without words, or made-up words or foreign language. I can only take about 5 minutes of dubstep before i lose my mind. Punk is solid for me.

Aside from any client side issues you might be having, maybe there's an issue with your ISP.
