Hi all,

Just like to share a little fun project.

I like to build stuff and learn something. So i designed a reversed Wimshurt machine.
In other words a electrostatic motor, in this case with counter rotating discs.
Not perfect, but it works!

It is running on a small air ionizer generator that puts out some Kv, see picture:

I have a goal in mind, and actually it does not need counter rotating discs, but ... as this is ATS and i have an ATS mind, ik could not resist to at least try to make some, just for the challenge, engineering and fun.

Here is a little clip:

Next attempt is to incorporate a little Voss electrostatic generator within an electrostatic motor.
Unfortunately i must be doing something wrong, as i can not seem to generate any voltage that would be expected with a Voss Generator.

Fail:

Anyway, not claiming anything, just wanted to share some thinkering fun.

Have a nice day.

I add s picture of a stage in the progress, as a picture say more as a thousand words.

And an video of a previous stage ( Also not with a working Voss )

But it looks nice! : )

Awesome experiment, keep it up!

By the way, what's the paint can for, some kind of homemade capacitor?

Thanks!

The "paint" can is actually a coffee can, and you know.. Coffee gives energy!

All kidding aside, inside is my ion generator and as i'm lazy, putting a can over it makes an easy on the fly connection.

Wow. Nice work mate.

I love electrostatic generators.
