This us offensive to women? Has anybody heard any hip hop or rap song lyrics? Those guys get invited to the White House. And celebrated by the Democrats.

There is an attack on white culture, not black.
Where have you been the last 9 years?

didnt read all the posts but as usual youre a bit off

while i think it is stupid to remove this from their rotation 1 station voluntarily removing this song from their rotation is not the same as it being banned.

One local radio station has decided they "ought to say no, no no" to the now-controversial Christmas song, "Baby It's Cold Outside."

so not banned

clickbait

very stupid and not necessary.
for sure

but not banned

Honestly I believe we are not long for a revolution, a new 1812. That's what America really needs!

I am too and I happen to agree with Grambler. I was just 'given' a lecture yesterday from what used to be a fine interesting young lady to a woman who has turned into a righteous extremely anti-american activist. I see it EVERYDAY.
The University caves to the demands of a few on a weekly basis and on a seperate matter this was again demonstrated yesterday. I won't go into details but it happens so frequently it's very predictable. The good news is I won an easy bet on it with my non university friends who just couldn't believe it -lol.

It's certainly not banned at all.

It's in rotation at all your favorite retailers this season.
I actually heard two versions over the last few days.

So really not banned.

Some things go in and out of favor over time...

Like who is having figgy pudding this year?
anyone? anyone?

Should stick with wholesome role models for Christmas songs.

Banning music some may find offensive is okay.

Banning statues some may find offensive is okay.

Banning people from social media that some may find offensive is okay.

What's next?

Books?

Radio stations have chosen not to play certain music since songs first took to the airwaves.

In my youth that always made music more interesting if it was taboo. Many Heavy Metal and Punk rock bands even successfully marketed and drove sales around news that a song or album had been "banned" by a radio station.

The song has not been "banned" in the national or even local sense. Some private company made a decision.

I think there is an ironic phenomena going on today where Right Wing Media appears "triggered" by media company decisions that would have not garnered much notice in years past.

Honestly, a local radio station in Cleveland decides not to play a song and newsworthy?
I don't see why anyone should care

Hands Down, Ray Charles and Betty Carter do the best rendition IMO

As always your contributions to the thread are superb, well reasoned and very fruitful towards advancing the conversation!

The way you stick to discussing claims made meticulously as opposed to name calling posters is truly something to be admired and applauded

Thank you again for being such a great member of our community!

This is bull#. If they have a problem with it they should just stop listening to the radio. Attempting to appease everyone that is offended by something is impossible.

I am all for tolerance but where is the tolerance from these offended people. They should realize that the world doesn’t circle their ass and be understanding that just because they have a problem with something doesn’t mean everyone else does or even should.

I’m sorry, but this type of behavior really ticks me off.

Yes and it is important to know that many people like yourself that probably lean left wing feel this way

This nonsense is something I think can bring people together in their rejection of it

Nice
I live for the music, and have a real passion for the associated gear to play it.
