Given the response,. It's more likely there is some elements of a black project nearby that went wrong, came down or there was a possibility that something at the observatory could have tracked or monitored said black program and they were just covering thier bases to be sure. Which is why work on the observatory took place.

The ufo and cp angle, I would say we're probably inserted into the narrative b the authorities themselves. When people hear CP or UFO'S, they leave the subject matter alone and cease investigating. Because one is the vilest thing ever and the other, people think is a subject for loons.

I would suspect that if it was a Black program it was classified but probably quite mundane in reality. Hence the response...

We have examples of classified platforms and programs being exposed through accidents before, and we haven't seen this kind of reaction from the government. For the G to use FBI resources in the way they did and confiscating private property is not something that's done lightly or at low-level.

Look at the resolution from Nov 30, 2018.

Looking around the main road, I can see they got some snow. Visible in the bush line -2nd pic

Here they are. There pretty useless. And I believe thats deliberate.
The resolution of the imagery I posted above from Nov 30, 2018 proves that.

What exactly would the Chinese want to spy on in an observatory though?

They have been overtly very interested in the search for signs of e.t. even building the world's largest radio telescope dish.

There's even talk their annexation of South China Sea philippine islands is somehow connected to e.t.

So, it just kind of loops back in to UFOs.
