The Whistleblower's name is Dennis Nathan Cain and his attorney is Michael Socarras along with...

The raid was permitted by a court order signed on Nov. 15 by federal magistrate Stephanie A. Gallagher in the U.S. District Court for Baltimore and obtained by TheDCNF.

A special agent from the FBI’s Baltimore division, who led the raid, charged that Cain possessed stolen federal property and demanded entry to his private residence, Socarras told TheDCNF.

According to the attorney, Cain informed the agent that he was "a recognized protected whistleblower under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act" and that Justice Department IG Michael Horowitz had recognized his whistleblower status.

Cain further told the FBI agent the potentially damaging classified information had been properly transmitted to the Senate and House Intelligence committees as permitted under the act, Socarras said. The agent immediately directed his agents to begin a sweep of the suburban home, anyway.

The only thing supporting the DCNF's story is a document they claim to have a copy of but haven't produced and a conversation they claim to have had.

I don't understand where he would have had legitimate access to either DOJ documents or Clinton Foundation documents.

It looks like Dennis Cain's attorney (Michael Socarras) is partners in a law firm with a former Inspector General who published "The Inspector General Handbook". I don't know that I would be dismissing anything he's trying to tell us in the matter.

Without direct involvement in the State Department or Clinton Foundation, it leaves open the speculation that he illegally hacked selective files in regards to the Uranium One topic.

That would explain the FBI raid and the veracity of what documents he stole would be a separate matter.

Whistle-Blower status does not absolve someone of cyber-crimes against the government.

First off the president has the power to pardon people convicted of crimes they do so every year they in office.
Second the department of justice is a part of the executive branch of government which means they fall under the perveiw of the president so yes he has the right to fire and hire as he pleases to an extent.
