Those aren't asylum seekers. They're just illegals.

One can be in this country illegally and apply for asylum.
That is the law.

They can also apply for an American Express card. Doesnt mean they're valid to get one.

You are correct. But we cannot deny them a request for asylum.

We arent mandated to give them something just because they are able to request something.

This idea of placing poor migrants into "refugee" status is the work of globalist propagandists. Period. About 10 years ago. Look it up. Or go on sounding like a halfwit. Its up to you.

I never claimed anything against what you claim. What does your statements have to do with mine. I am just covering the current laws and not so much the history of immigration. Is there a greater point you want to make regarding migrants and refugees cause either are eligible to claim asylum and have the ability to receive it if their situation qualifies.

Personally i am all for bringing back the migrant temporary work status visas that we had in the past. It worked pretty well but it was changed.

If they were following the law they would have applied at our embassy in their home state, or settled in Mexico.

Why would they bother to do that when it is legal for them to cross anywhere and then turn themselves in? They only become illegal if they do not report. I do not make the rules but just point out the fact that we are paying people to create the rules and those same folks are to be held responsible for the problems and not immigrants if we want to fix the system.

By categorizing them as "refugees" it "frames" the issue in completely illegitimate context. Therefore I'm 'obligated' to correct it.

Its not legal for people to just waltz into another nation.

Go try to sneak into Canada with no ID. When you get out of jail tell us all about it. PLEASE!

They are not all refugees or asylum seekers but are all afforded the right to due process and it is the job of the gov to separate the group. I feel that the gov is failing and the states could do better.

I would not want to go live in the land where all the drugs for the usa are made. I hear it is a dog eat dog kinda place.

mental midgets, incredibly narrow thinking it's like CNN and Fox News have moved onto ATS where what I'm saying was actually one of the main ideologies that made the board so popular in the first place

IMO now that it's impacting the bottom line the moderators and owners of the forum have been taking notice

Remember, to those guys, we're a cult. lol

....cult of personal-li-ty....!

You're very confused, you cannot deny a request for asylum, you can however refuse the asylum after it has been processed.

Why would we want to change laws that keep people that don't qualify out?

That's like asking to change the criteria to be a surgeon to make it easier for anyone to do it....

We have the right to decide who stays in our country and who doesn't

I try to be as balanced as I can but honestly, do some of you even think out the crap that you type?

You missed the point and are misrepresenting my post.

I was referring to changing the rules so that a better system os formed where actual illegal aliens do not go free and actual asylum claimants are treated with due respect.

It would be foolish to try to defend the current filing system where everybody can legally walk across the border and that is what you just attempted to do while pretending the current system is somehow working well.

I'm not confused at all. Requests for asylum are denied all the time.
