Actually in that case he would be protecting the American people.

By NOT showing us the truth? How so?

Yes, this. ā˜

The truth needs to be told.

I'm sick of "too big to fail".

If the president is being threatened why doesn't he take legal action against those who are doing the threatening?

Is the potus above the law?

Is it illegal to declassify the documents in question?

Well apparently, this Q fella said "trust the plan". That didn't work out too well for JFK.

Is the potus above the law?

History would suggest so.

No but the pressure from the five eyes tends to keep people quiet. šŸ‘€šŸš¬

Well of course they are.

Don't spy on US citizens if you don't want to be rendered and held at a US black site

At least that is my hope for them. We can't indict Russians for spying without doing the same to the UK

As far as I'm concerned, this is not just worth breaking the alliance over but it is worth severing all diplomatic/trade relations over... unless of course all UK government/intelligence/military officials involved (and I mean every single last one, every person who even knew about it actually) turns themselves over to US authorities unconditionally. Otherwise, time to hold them fully accountable for their crimes against our people

Either that or US citizens should start providing technical knowledge to UK citizens to assist them in subverting their government's mass surveillance, drawing them out & exposing their personal private information & identities, etc. Some significant punishment is well past due, however.

You'd think a country we so thoroughly whipped and embarrassed in multiple wars would've learned better. All that socialism/bureaucracy must've just rotted their government's brains I suppose

It is the UK citizens I feel sorry for. Many great people in that country, freedom loving anti-socialist/anti-leftists who are under the tyranny of a minority. Why on Earth haven't they deposed, abolished and replaced their failed corrupt government yet?

Follow it through.

So SIS have intelligence that Carter Page might be up to no good with the Russians so they open a file on him, start doing some investigation and find something that is of interest to the Americans so they share this with their American counterparts. Nothing wrong with this happens all the time, intelligence shearing between allies.

So it turns out that this intelligence has lead to Carter page getting into a bit of bother.

That doesn't suit Trump.

So now Trump wants to disclose UK intelligence to discredit the FISA against Page (which honestly it might do)

But think of the consequences of that, it could expose UK intelligence gather capabilities, sources and techniques but worse than that it totally undermines the trust that is essential to facilitate intelligence sharing between allies. Not just for the UK other state intelligence agencies are going to start thinking about this also. They aren't going to want to share intelligence with America because this would set a precedent for the risk that their sources then may also be exposed possibly putting their own operations and even lives at risk. So before you know it now not only does UK intelligence not want to share but neither does the intelligence services of other allies.

It creates a totally mess all because Trump wanted to prove a point.

Incorrect sir.

The only way that happens is through FVEY (five eyes) alliance. No intelligence passed through these channels.

Something is way off here. This is a criminal conspiracy not an intelligence job

Nope, British intelligence find something on a American citizen than indicates he might be up to no good in a way that could be of interest to the Americans.

So they share that intelligence with their American mates.

This is a essential component of international intelligence and Trump doing this totally undermines it, which would be a disaster for the American intelligence apparatus.

Of course they did. Spying is their business. If anything, it was anti trumper deep states that colluded illegally to interfere in the election.

Thats how it works though. Its only the masses that are gullible enough to think its otherwise.

Oh don't worry, the truth will come out, just not YOUR fabricated one the leftist goons want to create.

In every case so far, those who seek to destroy Trump have seemingly gotten their way, only to soon fail soon after when that "Truth" you speak of has come out.

The Truth has been the overall BANE of the left so far. That isn't going to change any time soon judging by recent history

But that isn't possible.

To share intelligence it goes through the FIVE EYES FVEY channels. There is a "REL" section of the classification marking line to determine whether all 5 nations get access, or whether it is releasable only to US/UK vs the entire alliance.

No such intelligence ever came through those standard and mandatory channels.

So where did it come from? Who was involved (personally, by name)? And what was their motivations (as revealed by intercepted conversations, etc)?

Devin Nunes and his memo, along with statements he made on MSM

The memo was never disputed on factual grounds, only partisan ones. If Nunes had lied it could've been easily disputed. Further, members of Congress could read classified material on the House floor without fear of prosecution and would have done so if they could dispute the Nunes memo

Devin Nunes chair of HPSCI

With respect to you OSOTC, something is way off and not just with this. Every last part of this Russia-narrative has the same glaring holes and inconsistencies and it smells very much like swamp gas. Look at the glaring evidence of corruption, talk of "secret societies" and "insurance policies" on a series of agents with questionable connections involved in two crucial cases involving both a Presidential nominee/probable winner and a current President Trump. Both showed extreme bias, both in how they were handled along with the personal animus toward Trump and a belief that Clinton would win (as most thought/feared).

This is not right. It is an attempt at deposing and/or subverting a duly elected President who represents the American people. And some cheer it on because they feel it is revenge for the investigations against Clinton, without any concern to the irreparable damage they are causing. Both in terms of reputation and legitimacy. They haplessly throw around this "collusion delusion" narrative, all too happy to ignore the piles of consistent evidence showing a serious effort to undermine the President or possibly even remove him via the "legal" system (AKA create an organization no longer beholden to the American people and one that refuses to submit to Congressional oversight)
