So he’s basically calling Trump a joke on the world stage.

I just do not see it that he says he was not a legitimate president, he is trying to say he was at a time the president and gained experience. He may not have actually been born in the US but was born to a US citizen so is technically eligable I think. But there were lots of typical political coverups and lies.

He is just mocking the idea he wasn't really legitimate, by those who talked about him not being legitimate. He doesn't really believe he wasn't legitimate (even if it was true), because he is far to arrogant and self important for that.
