I wonder where was Robert's support for Judge Kavanaugh during the $h!t storm he was going through?

You know that's the interesting part. Do you know how rare it is that any justice much less the Chief Justice gives an opinion on anything other than cases before their courts? It is extremely rare. So that means that Chief Justice Roberts was appalled by the words and conduct of our wannabe dictator who gets upset every time he is told that he can't destroy the Constitution.

Trump has lost many of his allies, he is increasingly finding himself on an island. So he thinks it's a great idea to lash out at the Chief Justice who very well may decide his fate in the coming months. Brilliant.

Your topic title really illuminates how truly uninformed you truly are. You think that Trump can educate Chief Justice Roberts on the judiciary? Really? On one side we a man who has served the US Judiciary for over 40 years and on the other we have an Orange scam artist who built his empire with daddy money. Of those two, you think the cheeto can educate the judge on what it means to be a judge?

You're special.

How uninformed are you? Or maybe you are just looking through your Leftist colored glasses.
Maybe you don’t remember that Roberts was the one that ruled that the Obamacare mandate was not a tax, when it was every bit a #ing tax.
So yeah....Roberts is politically biased.

What's been fun today is watching reporters who defended Barack Obama criticizing and questioning the SCOTUS' impartiality DURING A LIVE SOTU ADDRESS over Citizens United, trying to say this is somehow different with Trump and he somehow breached some unspoken code of POTUS conduct which Obama miraculously did not when he did the same crap, only far more directed and scathing individually to the highest court in the nation, and from the largest soapbox in the country, the annual SOTU Address.

Obama did the same thing? Seriously? So he got upset that a court ruled against one of his executive orders. Then he attempted to undermine the legitimacy of that court by saying "That guy, he is a Bush appointee".

You have a link to that, I would truly like to see that.

Yeah, Trump told you he was going to drain the swamp. He lied.

The vast majority of the people he has appointed were part of the 'swamp'. Additionally, he allowed many, many people into positions of powers that had ethics problems, such as conflicts of interest. He has done so by granting more ethics waivers in the first 4 months of his presidency than Obama did in 8 years.

Yep, that guy is draining the swamp.

Trump has granted more lobbyist waivers in 4 months than Obama did in 8 years

I think justice Roberts has been to long secluded on the top of the ivory tower he has forgotten that yes indeed there are judges that rule based off opinion rather than settled case law.

There are many good judges out there, but to say there are not people that rule based off their left or right leanings is naive at best.

Trump tried to do something that he had no legal power to do.

A judge called him on it.

... but it is all part of the plan to make an American dictator.

Let me tell you a secret. Just because you don't agree with a ruling doesn't mean you are right.

But I have good news for you. Judge Robert did rule that the Mandate was a tax. He ruled that it was a tax and since taxing is within the jurisdiction of the legislature the law was legal. So see, you don't have anything to worry about, he isn't politically biased he agrees with you.

And while most of the legal debate focused on Congress’s power under the Commerce Clause, the Court ultimately upheld the law as an exercise of the taxing power—even though President Obama famously claimed that the law was not a tax.

I believe US politics is literally a circus. And I enjoy the show from the stands.

Welfare of citizens seem to be the lowest priority with most of them.

The problem is that Trump attempts to paint any judge that disagrees with him as biased. That is the problem.

Sure there are some bad apples but the vast majority are good judges. But in Trump's eyes if they disagree with him they are politically biased. That's the mentality of a dictator. The mentality that you can never be wrong and if anyone disagrees with you, immediately go after them.

This is why judge Roberts spoke out because Trump consistently calls out any judge that disagrees with him.

first off... VOX as a source... just LOL.

Secondly, Obama didn't have to grant very many waivers to lobbyists. Simply because he hired most of them and filled up his White House with them.

Google had a satellite office there, FFS.

But yea.... keep your slant going if it helps you sleep at night.

www.stanfordlawreview.org...

President Obama told the public at the 2010 State of the Union address that “the Supreme Court reversed a century of law” with its Citizens United decision and suggested that the Court opposed honest elections. The ensuing image was even more damaging. With 48 million Americans watching, the camera panned to a cadre of expressionless Supreme Court Justices sitting in the front row while lawmakers sitting next to them rose to their feet and applauded. Presidents Obama and Bush and members of Congress have derided the Court for its “unelected” nature, with President Obama publicly wondering before the health care decision whether “an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law.”

I stand by my comment.
