So it’s my settings that make ATS and no other site I visit have these issues?

Why do you keep bringing up how many members are not having issues? That fact doesn’t negate the experience many are having. You showing up saying “it’s your fault so figure it out yourself” doesn’t help the situation or anyone involved.

At this point I think your just trying to sound as if your some kind of expert on the subject without providing any expertise or actual assistance.

Again, everyone here gets it, your not having an issue, your ATS runs great, you figured it all out with your amazing electronics prowess. How many more board threads are you going to try to make those points in?

So you listed a bunch of settings you think could be causeing the issue, so let’s figure out what I’m doing that’s so wrong-
On iPhone:

What security features and setting are you using?
What font size do you use?
What are your cookie and ad blocker settings?
What auto play settings are you referring to?
What features should I be allowing or not allowing?
What screen resolution could be causing this issue?

I humbly await your response of “well not everyone’s having the issue, your just complaining, i figured mine out, mine works great, it’s your fault for using the wrong font size or something.

And please don’t tell me the answer is in the board forum again, you might as well say the proof that aliens exist is somewhere in the ufo forum, good luck finding it.

Clearly you are not very literate in these type of computer issues. It appears to be some sort of security issue (if not intentional) or malware which appears to only happen on the mobile site.

Different type of devices, brands, versions crap is non related to this, it's a network protocol issue.

EDIT: Tracked it down to a Javascript issue. The scam sites are extracting a lot of device info from ATS. (including ip address and device id's)

Careful people!!

Geez...Sorry you're having difficulty. Take it up w the site, mods, owner. So, Illiterate? Hardly...

Explain the membership without issues? Track their properly working visits to us.

So it is not the site...explain why that is? Clearly you're not understanding that we are replying and reading and viewing...without issues.

And using not the mobile app but selecting Desktop Version...even on smartphones etc...provides the entire site, usually without issue. You do have to zoom in and up and around...but everything is there.

You clearly missed the memo about using any site app instead of the full site.

I can't help you...ATS' has enough posts about this...but you actually have to go find them...and why the mobile "app" and "search" functions are wonky..and what to do to resolve any issues you're having.

I tried...why not ask the admins to break it down for you? If you can get your devices flaws found...

We don't have any....g.luck.

First of all, not every single user on here is using the mobile site / using their phone to browse ats so of course not everyone is having issues

Secondly I have tried using the desktop site and I get the SAME results. Clear cookies, cache, history, etc, same things happen with the ads. I will say with the desktop site I don’t get redirected QUITE as much, but still have the problems with ads blocking content and blocking buttons.

MS posts pretty much the same thing in every thread dealing with site issues, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Seems to be a "thing," and we've all got those, right?

I have the issue on the desktop version too, can't even remember the last time I used the mobile version.

On android, using chrome.

I'm ok with the normal ads, they aren't too problematic even if I have to close them to read things on the bottom of the screen occasionally. Redirects are a whole 'nother thing!

That's a little unnerving.
I prefer Safari and have had none of these issues with ATS, on either the phone or laptop. I do get more ad's on the phone, but never redirected. But then again I figured that was just because I refuse to sync up my phone to the laptop?
So am just getting what millions of other users get Ad-wise.

I do...because the mods, admins and owner...taught us this some years back...and saved many of us grief.

I will no longer try to be helpful...but am one of the many that no longer, ever have issues.

Peace

You know? On 4 different type devices, inexpensive ones..plus 2 city owned...with nothing special done to any of them...no issues, pg cvrs, autoplays or redirects exists.

Thanks to the ATS mods, admins and site owner S. Overlord...and membership for that....and their valued advice-forever exists within the BOARD FORUM and FRESHMAN's for all to get answers to issues....

Best, Happy Holidays, M.S.

It is back to doing it again on my end. It makes ATS completely unusable when it is happening. I was just lucky enough to have this thread open in another tab before it started redirecting. I personally think it is an ad that is running causing it but I’m not a real techy kind of person.

This is where it is redirecting - us.08ce5.pw...#

ETA - It is only happening on pages that are running ads.

Okay y'all, I've read the thread, and actually have an explanation for y'all. This is an event that appears to be random, as it is not associated with a single device, or it's configuration, although it does seem to be more associated with the mobile version of ATS.

Firstly, there are actually two ATS's; one for desktop / non-mobile devices, and another for mobile devices. The main difference between the two is the navigational environment within which they operate...basically the same content, but different display and navigation.

Ads on ATS are a random thing, but are very different between desktop and mobile devices...it is the selection of advertising that is causing this issue, and it is one that ATS should be very aware of, and should provide active filtering so as to not loose any member or visitor during a session...i.e. there should be nothing that automatically redirects the browser away from ATS...navigating away from any site should always be the users decision...and NEVER an advertiser. This is an issue that is much like the old virus in an ad crap that comes around from time to time.
