You're right, Hillary's actions were way worse. But that does not mean it's ok for ivanka to use a private email in her gov't role.

I was fired from a government job for sending personal messages on govt systems. In hindsight, that termination was a blessing in disguise.

She wasn't running the State Department, didn't put our country's very security at risk, didn't get people killed like Hillary did and for all intense and purposes...she is just the daughter of Trump. Hardly a risk to our nation. It's not the same.

Those who want Ivanka punished should now be more than willing to see Hillary punished for her crimes. All the President has to say is, "Well take a look at Ivanka, after Hillary is thoroughly investigated again". You think Leftist radicals will go along with that?

It was a violation of FOIA and NARA laws on public record. She did turn over the emails and start using a .gov email address after the fact. Rules got stricter after Hillary's mess.

I'm not saying to jail her because as far as we know, nothing was classified. I think suspension/probation would be a good penalty when officials flout the law.

Then how does this compare with Hillary mishandling classified material the government clearly defines punish for such transgressions?

I think this is probably just clean up of the incident, but it's interesting. Thank you for mentioning it.

Hillary had her private server hacked all the way back in 2011
en.wikipedia.org...

Your claim is debunked by the link you provided to support it.

I don't know if that was error or intentionally misleading.

It is known that hackers were aware of Clinton's non-public email address as early as 2011.
Secretary Clinton and her staff were aware of hacking attempts in 2011, and were reportedly worried about them

Being aware of an email address is not the same as hacking the server for that email account.
Hacking attempts are not hacking successes.

Like most of the right wing you seem to not be a fan of the constitution, specifically the 5th amendment and due process.

Punishment follows investigation, indictment and trial.

HRC had 100 plus FBI agents investigate for over a year and 3+ separate exhaustive congressional committee investigations, millions and millions of dollars spent and all concluding nothing warranted indictment.

Yes, Ivanka's use of personal email for Government business warrants investigating. Ditto Trump's use of his personal phone, Jared's use of personal email and the rest of Trump staff.

They very clearly want as little record of their corrupt activities as possible.

My friend,

Did you bother to read any of the sources linked to in Wiki, or do any of your own research?

We know Hillary's email server was hacked, that is how emails were leaked. When exactly the hacking took place can be up for debate, but we do know this:

www.washingtontimes.com...

In one instance in 2011, Mrs. Clinton’s tech guru thought the server was being hacked and shut it down for a few minutes. Months later, Mrs. Clinton feared yet another hack attack was underway — yet never reported the incident to the department, in another breach of department rules.

Mrs. Clinton refused to cooperate with the probe, as did a number of her top aides from her time at the department, leaving investigators with a number of questions they weren’t able to nail down.

She probably didn't report it, and refused to cooperate, because then she would have been in trouble for emailing classified information... They likely wouldn't admit they were hacked either, because that too would launch and investigation and likely incriminate Hillary. So any claims they were not hacked or there was no evidence of a hack should not be trusted.

So what were you saying was "debunked"?

Hillary's emails weren't leaked. They were released by the FBI and the National Archives. The DNC's emails were hacked and leaked.

Hypocrisy flag is flying high with the dnc also, remember intent and how investigating Hillary was a waste of money because she didn't intend to break the law.
Even though millions of people grew up being told it doesn't matter if you intended to you broke the law.
Anyone who defended Hillary but want investigation and prosecution now is a raging hypocrite.

Her personal server was never hacked.

No. Lack of "intent" was a strong factor in not prosecuting. No one ever said the issue should not have been investigated, although the GOP wasted Millions of dollars and a year of the FBI's resources over years to create a political narrative of "lock her up".

Anyone who defended Hillary but want investigation and prosecution now is a raging hypocrite.

So confusing that the right wing thinks investigation = LOCK HER UP!

Investigations are to figure out what happened, then comes the decision whether or not someone should be indicted or charged with something, then trial, then judgment.

Ivanka's use of a personal email (Plus Trump and team) needs to be investigated.

I don't think the left will be screaming red-faced at rallies that Ivanka should be locked-up like RWNJs do all the time.

There's a huge difference between private email and a PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER that's been purposely left unsecured for the use of global crimes. Lock the old drunken hag up already.

Then we'll talk about this issue. Until then, no one cares. Dems didn't care about Hillary. Hey... We're following the Dem's lead on this one. It's only fair.

What would be hilarious is... The troll that Trump is... He may have faked and leaked this tidbit out just to give them dems their cake and eat it too.

I would shoot beer out of my nose for that.

That is what you were led to believe...

www.foxnews.com...

Romanian hacker Guccifer: I breached Clinton server, 'it was easy'

www.foxnews.com...

Hacker who claims he breached Clinton server pleads guilty, strikes deal with feds

Still, Guccifer told Fox News specific details of the server's configuration and its apparent lack of security. He said he copied some files and posted them to his "Guccifer Archive" online. This is the kind of information the FBI could verify by examining the server or questioning Clinton IT specialist Bryan Pagliano, who has struck an immunity deal with the Justice Department.

I would believe the hacker who pleaded guilty to hacking other high-profile email accounts before I believe Hillary and her cabal. That is because Hillary has/had more to lose if the claims were true.

I think you are confused. You were lead astray by biased media sources, and an official Clinton cover up. If Hillary and her team admitted that her email server was hacked, she would be guilty of mishandling of classified information, and it would have cost her the election (this information was being discussed mostly before the 2016 election).

I think I am just working with more information than you. Maybe you should step outside your comfort zone.

Got it... she must be investigated because orange man bad, and Hillary was different.

If the Democrats had done the right thing with the investigation into Hillary instead of screwing Bernie and covering up for her crimes then they would be able to serve up the Trumps on a silver platter.

Instead they made excuses and got their mouth piece into the FBI to parrot the talking points and now once again the stupidity of the democrats has bitten them on the butt.
