This is really spooky that a politician would want total Federal and local government control over 100% of your life. Do New Yorkers REALLY believe this way? Would de Blasio give up his lifestyle? Hells no he wouldn't, and nor would the rich folk. I find this dudes mentality hard to stomach.

www.foxnews.com...

And he has a long history of quotes....who elects this kind of dude?

1..... 2..... 3...... before someone comes in here denying what he said.

Most of us on the right really know what the left actually wants whether their sheeple follows admit it or not.

The average leftist voter doesn't really believe that because like most leftist, they think it would never apply to them personally. They are for high taxes as long as they aren't the one being taxed, etc.

Like a good little elitist, De Blasio would never give up his own personal home and the rights / wealth afforded by property ownership.

Potato/Potatoe... as Hillary showed in the primaries there’s nothing democratic about that party...

Well I consider myself conservative, but I also think there is room for some-left leaning things. But this is nuts because everyone knows how this story ends up. I am just not a fan of radical thinking on either side. I have been to Poland, they are still trying to get over their communist occupation.

I'm a Dem and I say hell no.

The government needs to stay out of things unless there's a public safety issue.

I would love to know his thought process and specifics on what he would do. Is he gonna make Park Avenue bankers take in homeless peeps in those extra 20 bedrooms they aren't using? Now THAT I could get behind.

Meh, he's just speaking to his base...........the Ocasio type base. Rhetoric by any other name. He knows he can never assume that type authority, but..........it sells to his idiot supporters who thrill to the prospect of "free stuff" at some one elses expense.

I am about convinced that we need to set aside a space in this country where we can let the full-on communist left have their way and let them wall themselves off. We let anyone who wants to go live there, but they cannot force any of the rest of us to fund them or support them in any way. They do it on their own.

If they succeed, AWESOME!

If they fail, then they have to agree that we never, ever hear about it again.

It is? News to me and I live in California. In fact, after living in multiple places all across the country I've never experienced anywhere more lawless than CA. The cops really do nothing here. I kinda think y'all should get out and travel before making up your partisan minds. Stop with the fear mongering and news cherrypicking. Get out there. The world is vast and your microcosm is ill-informed.

CA is unaffordable. High crime. Illegals everywhere. High taxes. It is a leftist paradise.

Yes, the weather is great and some areas of the state are beautiful, but good views and sunshine don't necessarily make the state a great place to live for the average person. I really don't get how / why people live there once the shine of the year round good weather wears off.

Honestly, I am serious.

So many think this is what they want and what will make them happy -- to be provided for.

The main problem is that there is no way they can have that without serious violations of the COTUS and without the rest of us being Borg assimilated into their collective against our will. And make no mistake, they will do that without thinking twice because they're that convinced of their own moral superiority on this issue. They're sure we'll soon discover how right they are and thank them for forcing us to go along.

But if there really was a way, to make a California the commune they wanted without any entanglement with the rest of our system, I'd be happy to let them have at. To let them try it their way with no interference.
