Well I hope those judges help the issue, but then again they are dealing local and they are judges.
The national democratic career politician are playing this at a different level, saying hey we worked with Trump to get this done is not seen as positive for them, doesn't matter what it is, so pathetic.

This is racist slavery based on the current justice system that needs to be reformed ASAP

I wonder how many are in private jails ?

Its horrible and needs to be addressed at the source, a failed "culture" that had culminated over the last few decades. Time to change direction and recognize the cancer within.

I'm rooting for logic.

I think its very interesting that there is a group of Americans that are currently trying to get prison reform done.
And it is well documented that black people in America are disproportionally affected by this current prison system.
Rand Paul recently made an interesting statement he said if a white kid is doing drugs in the basement of his parents 500K suburban home he isn't going to get caught because police aren't really around there. But if a black kid is doing the same thing around a burning barrel in some back ally in Chicago the police have 99% higher chance on him getting busted. Same crime different result because of location and it isn't really fair.

These for profit jails have no desire for prison reform they are making money off peoples mistakes.

Why then did these black democrats all vote against prison reform:
I can only think of 2 reasons.
1)Because Trump will go for it and it will make him look good.
2)The for profit prisons are influencing them.

Kelly Paul and Jerad Kushner are both involved in getting this done too.

This topic should have bi-partisan support yet look what is happening, maybe Candice Owens is right.
Either way those Democratic black politicians should be ashamed of themselves for not trying to help.
At this point Kim Kardashin and Kayne West are doing more to help than these guys, what sad state that is.

These black politicians are the true Uncle Toms. They put party politics above the interest of the black community at the behest of their white liberal slave masters. What you have to understand is that their sole purpose is to corral the black vote. In exchange for doing so, they are richly rewarded. It is a long con hustle. They are basically told, you just get the black vote and do what we say, and you will live in luxury as an elite Democrat.

I call them "Buffer Negroes". They run out to defend liberalism's negative effect on the black community. That is their job.

It isn't just issues like prison reform, but a number of other issues where they seemingly vote against the interest of the community. School choice. Gun Control. Illegal Immigration. Minimum Wages. Black people get the short end of the stick yet these same buck dancing, boot licking politicians support these policies. It doesn't make any sense until you step back and understand the hustle.

Organized crime is running the government. Shaking down the po people!

Indeed. Why do you think they always want the war? Arms dealers running the CIA/intelligence community. Which J. Edgar established in the first place to extend the reign of his shadow government beyond the grave. Same way the military-industrial complex runs private prisons. A war on drugs, you say? Whale then, $_$

Of course they do, but not just them others do to.

The prison owners have a vested interest in having every bed filled and hopes for contracts to build and operate more prisons.

The judiciary has a vested interest in sentencing those who appear before them to prison and to long terms as well. They get well showered with 'expressions of appreciation' for their tough approach to crime and justice by the prison owners.

The politicians also have incentive to be "tough on crime" and to become advocates of longer and longer prison terms because they get their re-election campaigns well funded.

They also become advocates for prison terms for lessor and lessor 'crimes' because their re-election campaign funds become more and more bloated as time goes on.

Dunno how many people know this in the US, there are 'strict' laws about what happens to left over campaign funds when a politicians retire. However; as one might suspect these days; there are also 'back doors' in the 'strict' laws that enable them siphon the funds before they retire.

Buying a house in the area they 'represent' is just one of them.

Then when the time comes to actually retire, the little that is left over is given to their party for distribution through out the party.

This is how they cover their tracks.
