So you have nothing to say about my post? You could at least try to address it.

I'm sorry, I stopped paying attention to your posts a while back when you would chastise anyone agreeing with Trump for playing into the left right thing, then bash Trump on another thread, the transparency was comical, but not something I attribute to integrity. If you do have a post worthy of reading, please add 2 smiley's so I'll know to read it.

How is this for WORKING TOGETHER?!?! Republican President Donald Trump is not only endorsing Democrat Congresslady Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker, when Democrats take control of the U.S. House on 1/1/2019. But he also is willing to help her secure the votes necessary, if she doesn't mind.
....(snip)...

How about ATS Members? Do you feel that Nancy Pelosi will be a good Speaker of the House for 2019/2020?

Yes, I'm sure he'll "secure votes" for her.

Okay... that was sarcastic, but I would bet that one of the strong selling points for her as Speaker is that she opposes every policy that he's invested in. And she's been Speaker of the House before.

Have you looked her up? Her voting record on major issues during her time in congress is the opposite of everything Trump wants.

I love it.
He's giving her the kiss of death to ensure she gets a major challenge from the alt-left.
Brilliant.

Just imagine...if all or most Democrats turn against Pelosi, due to Trump endorsement, and Trump helps her get elected anyway, intentionally or otherwise. I don't know what the results of that would be.

Unlikely. The ones who will confirm her as Speaker of the House (a post she's held before) are members of the House of Representatives, not the public. I don't think that they'll be fooled by Trump's endorsement. I don't think they'll count it as a factor.

Also, picture this scenario I just for shiggles. Trump intentionally destroys an opponent like Pelosi or someone of similar standing by saying or tweeting "Oh, don't worry! She's on our side now. I talked to her." Just make sure he talks to her and they agree about something before he says it. Maybe he even deletes the tweet for extra sensationalism. The context of the "talk" they had will be explained later by the opposition, Trump may, or may not concur, but either way, the idea will stick in people's head, and they will also be thinking "well it IS true she agreed about something with him...hmmm, why take a chance? we gotta get rid of her."

Do you think it'll work? He's been caught a number of times saying things that other world leaders say he made up -- the most recent was Trump's saying he talked to the President of Finland about raking the forests to prevent fires and Finland's President says Trump made that up. From what I see, very few non-supporters actually believe what Trump says on any issue.

it's been said that having her as speaker enables Trump to point and access blame for just about anything not working, so it can be an easy 2 years with a good shot at re-election.

Hmmm... well I'm sorry that my opinions hurt your feelings, maybe you should realize that criticisms are not the same as bashing, but I could see how someone with such thin skin would think so. Grow thicker skin is all I can say and stop acting like you and Trump are attached at the hip. Not sure how my criticisms of him say anything about you but whatever Mr. thin skin.

He's just playing with the leftists. It's fun to watch.

I agree. Trump doing what he does best...trolling!

I often picture him making kek memes with the other channers. Whenever I'm having a bad day, it always makes me laugh to envision him sitting at the Resolute Desk drawing up a new Pepe!

Trump is smart. The Democrats deserve Pelosi.

Wait until the civil war begins with new Democrats and the old.

The old invited, BLM, LGBTQ, antifa, illegals aliens. Muslims and felons and the leading voters.

And now all those groups must be addressed before Democrats make any decisions.

There will war among the Democrats

He's setting her up for something. Something that will blow up in the middle of her Presidential bid for 2020. And yes, the Dems are absolutely stupid enough to think they'll have a snowball's chance in hell with her as the front-runner. Barring any stellar success by Trump though, I do think the Dems would retake the Senate in the next midterm, regardless of who wins the office in 2020. It's a sheer numbers game.

For a guy who is routinely called stupid by the left, he's positioning her like a pawn for the sacrifice though. There simply isn't any other logical reason for supporting her, but keeping her in the limelight as an opposition force looking to only gridlock government.

On the above post, it's interesting to assume that ex-cons will vote Dem. I'd say this was likely true in the pre-Trump era, but those same studies and stats are hopelessly out-dated. Personally, I think the in your face style of politics used by Trump speaks more to them. (and LEOs I know, feel the same way). In this case, I think the Dems should be careful for what they wish for. Like most things, it will come back and bite them in the ass.

This is likely more true than folks suspect.

One thing this recent midterm did, was really put these two factions of Dems in place. On issues to come, they are going to slug it out with each other before the GOP even dips their hat into it.

The whack-a-do socialist nutjobs like Ocasia-Cortez and other newcomers to Congress, are not going to agree on party line issues that more moderate Dems could actually get passed. It should be interesting to watch this two-headed snake try and eat itself.

Nope, just reading between the lines. Personally, I think the whole Q-Anon thing is nothing but a lot of wishful thinking....but if it is legit, that'd be grand.

I only looked into it casually when it first came on the scene. It seems to be all over the place, honestly.

But, having watched Trump for years, I do feel I have a bit of a bead on how he thinks, and operates, and to me, this show of support can only be for the goal I stated above. In a way, it's like the old SNL skits of Reagan, doddering in public, then gets in the war room and starts going off like Ghangis Khan.... Politically, one of his greatest strengths is that his opponents never seem to know what he's going to do next.

Although now I'll have to look into that bit you mentioned. I will check that out.

He can try the blame game, but whether or not it'll be successful is another question.

It will indeed play well with his supporters but if I remember correctly it didn't do that well with the Republicans in general when he started accusing various Republicans of non-cooperation. His attempts to shift blame have often had a lot of blowback.

I do expect to see more of the blame game as election time nears. This next election is going to be a real howling mess. I intend to be there as election judge and I'm eager to see the results. I'll be horribly disappointed if Trump wins but I'm still eager to see what happens.

She did it! President Trump is as thrilled as we are, that Nancy is now THE SPEAKER. Oh...About that...

A sign of early-onset dementia, is steadily decreasing clarity of thought as the day progresses. The first partial-day as Speaker of Da House caused Nancy Pelosi to deteriorate fairly rapidly.

Example (30 Second Clip): twitter.com...

Events over the past 2 weeks of Nancy Pelosi's reign as Speaker of the House, demonstrates perfectly why President Trump wanted her to have that job so badly.

Yesterday, she told the U.S. President that it's a bad idea for him to give a State of the Union address. Today, President Trump responded by grounding Pelosi and her Democrat friends in Congress, 1 hour before they were to leave on an overseas tour.
