So just for #s and giggles.
What country has the best system?

For an apples to apples comparison.

Just for #s and giggles by what measure would you use to measure the best system?

Obviously, if military spending is your measure, this country is the best.

...We have lost out since the seventies, society is to blame for this. They ignored important safeguards to keep this from happening, the liberals wanted to change our system conservatives worked hard to create over the thirty years leading to the seventies.

Alternative facts much? In the 36yrs between the end of WWII and the end of the 70's, Democrats controlled the House for 79% of that time, Democrats controlled the Senate for 89% of that time, and the Presidency for 39%. A pattern that is consistent going back to The Great Depression. Since the end of the 70s, Democrats have controlled the House, the Senate and the Presidency only 42% of the time. Not sure how you get off crediting 'conservatives' for the build-up to the 70s or the 'liberals' for its demise. Leading up to the Great Depression is was Republicans across the board. Leading up to the Financial Collapse it was predominantly Republican control. And now it's been predominantly Republicans leading up to this #cluster.

That was what I was asking you.
What countries around the world have citizens with what you would precieve as more purchasing power per buck?

Government is ALWAYS the problem. Without fail. 100% of the time.

That's a UNIVERSAL constant.

Surely you aren't that naive.

(do you mind if I call you Surely?)

Always amazing to see all the corporatist lap dogs scurry to badmouth that evil government that is standing in the way of their rampant greed and disregard. Also amazing to see all these people that are supposedly 'not globalists' help usher in real globalization. Corporations own the governments. Not the other way around. Multi-national corporations have much more power than localized governments and span the globe. Governments a merely local. At least we have some representation in government. The corporations answer to no one but money. And money couldn't care less about what you want. Or your property. Or your land. Or your choices. And certainly doesn't care about your freedom.

Always follow the money. And always follow the power.

And now we have a corporate globalist as president that has his followers fighting the corporations fight for them (under the phony banner of national-pride... but whatever it takes right?). Good job minions. Let's demolish our only hope so the corporatists can achieve complete world domination. Tear down that wall!

Yes!!!! Corporations are the problem. THE problem. We are their serfs, and they trick us into believing it's democracy when.we vote in their interests. Healthcare, the environment, veterans benefits, social security, infrastructure, and education don't serve corporate short-term profits, hence, doing anything to protect these programs is near impossible.

Corporatists?

Jesus Christ. Is that even a real word?

I've never understood this "Ooooh. Corps BAD." Are you even a real person?

Who do people work for?

Who provides jobs?

I grew up during the Cold War.

I hate to burst your bubble, Hoss, and I'll try to use small words, so you don't get confused, OK?

Let's start with a simple analogy.

Orange man bad. Surely you understand that one, right?

Communism bad.

Socialism bad.

See? Does it make sense now?

Don't take this personally, but in my experience, which is quite extensive, when I hear someone ranting about "Evil Corporations", that person tends to be a complete non-hacker, who couldn't stick their finger up their a$$ with both hands. Someone that just can't compete in the real world, because in the real world, there are millions of other people who actually bust their a$$ to get ahead.

If your life is sh*t, 99.99999% of the time it's YOU that is the problem.

It's ok, though, just blame it on the "Evil Corps."

If your life sucks, get off your a$$ and change it.

Yeah we know we are getting #ed by the system

You can work 60 hours a week in factories now and be barely able to pay your bills god forbid having a family

Then they wonder why my age group isn't having kids. Let me tell you its because we are screwed finacially.

Then the older generation has the audacity to tell we are spoiled when the actual economic data suggeat that we get 20% less for our work as a national average

Not entirely true. Anyone saying its ALL government or ALL corporations isn't looking at the big picture, either because of cognitive dissonance or because they are simply unable to see it.

Government isn't the problem.

Corporations aren't the problem.

MONEY.

MONEY is the problem.

"God Money I'll do anything for you, God Money just tell me what you want me to. God Money nail me up against the wall. God Money don't want everything he owns it all."

Follow the money. Don't dis-include a factor simply because it belongs to the "private" or "public" sector, because its all a part of the divide-and-conquer illusion and fear machine.

typical mentality of your generation literally half of our country is working poor LITERALLY it's actually verifiable by looking at the economic data. NAFTA has decimate wages and wage growth. People working hard in trade jobs in trade unions are getting way less bang for their buck then they even had 10 years ago.

Things are double the cost and people pay is not double. Pull your head out of your ass and stop being a corporate lacky who lives in the 1970's still. It's 2018 and we have real problems with the government and corporations working together to suppress wages while pushing inflation higher. It's a real issue.

are you guys arguing about who's worse the republicans or democrats?

in case you haven't been paying attention since 1913 and the Federal Reserve Act our government has become a central controller and planner for economic and government policy. They centralized our economy and create a command economy. I create a thread detailing the entire process with data and facts to back it up.

We do not have a free country or free economy what we have is a psuedo socialist system where the government indirectly runs everything through the monetary system while not directly owning it by name.

Corporate Lacky? Talk about pulling something out of an ass. I beg your pardon, Princess, and let that slide on the grounds that you are just young, unread, and ignorant.

(BTW, Toys, when I use the word "you", I'm not referring to you personally. Only the first sentence refers to you. I'm just talking about "millenials", in general, if such a classification is even relevant.)

I know PLENTY of "millennials" who are doing fine. They are dedicated, smart, they work hard, and they get paid, and they get paid WELL. They have families, cars, houses, and nice things. I have a 24 year old nephew that just bought a house. He has a wife and two kids. He's doing great, DESPITE the fact he joined a Union. (which the only source of contention between he and I, but that's another story. Homey just don't play that).

Somehow all these young people, including my two kids, seem to be able to pay their bills. Not a single one of them had help from mommy and daddy after they graduated from High School.

Every single one of them started with NOTHING. They did it THEMSELVES.

Look, brother, I don't know you, other than by your posting history, but the way you write, and your sentence structure (or lack thereof) leads me to believe that you are young. Between 18 and 30, maybe?

Every single day I see everyone trash-talking millennials. You've seen the memes and videos I'm sure. Always running them down. Saying how lazy, spoiled, and entitled they are.

My experience with them is the exact opposite of that. I'm sure there are some exceptions, because every generation has a subset that are useless, whining little titty-babies. However, I've never met many of them.

Understand something, kid. I didn't take y'all to raise. NONE of us did. It's not the world's responsibility to lead you by the nose, and make sure you can support yourself.

Like I said. I know LOTS of millennials. They don't bitch and moan, and cry about how the world is just SOOOOO unfair to them. They work hard, and if an obstacle appears in front of them, they either kick it's ass, or go around it.

Every single one of them.

So, I ask you. What's your excuse? If your life sucks, either change it yourself, or shut up about it. The world is unfair. Deal with it.

Either you adapt, and take responsibility for your own sh*t, or wallow in self-pity, blaming every other thing in the world, and spend your time online, bitching and moaning about it.

No. My head's not in my a$$. And it's the Eighties, kid, not the Seventies.

Jesus, kids, either you have a pair, or you don't. Take some responsibility for yourself, hold your head up, kick the world's a$$.

There are 7 billion people in the world, not a single one of them gives a sh*t if your life is crap, because it's not their responsibility, it's YOURS!

Everybody else is dealing with their own problems. They don't have time for yours.

All the millenials I know are doing fine. Sooo... What's YOUR problem? Explain it to me. Show me. Convince me. SHOW me how it's somehow my fault.

Do, or do not.
There is no try.
