Having a press pass and having access to the President are two different things honestly. The Secret Service could just do Jim like they did Brenda Lee during the Obama administration.... ie remove him before the President ever gets there....because "reasons"...

Sure...it's pretty authoritarian to do so...but there's nothing stopping them.

"Just don't let him ask questions."

Have you people seen videos of Jim? He doesn't even wait his turn, he'll just shout questions out while others around him are annoyed and tell him to be quite.

If anything, this is bad for Jim. If he is not called on, but continues his usual MO of just shouting and yelling out questions and disrupting others. He will most likely end up getting dragged out by security(which would be hilarious, IMO).

The White House has every right to revoke Acosta's pass.

Seems they dont have every right- as a judge literally just declared they dont.

Yet , a little pi__ - a__ judge is not even close to the bottom line

Again- this is a trump appointee... Lol.. like where do you see this road going? If trump appointees are ruling against him.. what do you think happens next? lol.. the disillusion routines some of you go through .... must be exhausting man..

I would think so, given that their primary role is security.

But I much prefer the idea of letting Acosta attend, but just never taking a single question from him. His head would explode.

Can't wait to see the hijinx that will ensue when he's not chosen to ask a question!

It will be lots of this.

Jim is such a class act. A real role model for young liberal journalists.

The white house controls the seating, they will seat acosta and cnn in the back with horse and hound. Acosta can yell till he is blue in the face at which point he will be removed, again.

Partisan bickering aside.

I am really curious how Trump plays this.

Better yet the press should just refuse to cover anything that trump wants them to cover. We need a trump free day or two.
I say # Ignore Trump today...

I have to image that he's the laughing stock of his peers. His antics are loathsome for any human.

Acosta can always simply be trespassed for hostile and harassing g behavior. You seem to believe there are not a dozen other ways to keep him not only out of of the pressroom, bUt out of the white house.

Now, I ask again an open question to everyone. What is stopping g the tabloid CNN from sending a different employee other than the opportunity to be overly and unnecessarily dramatic ???

Don't kid yourself(again). The press have no control over any of this, trump plays them like a fiddle. Or better yet, trump is like a pusher and the press are all a bunch of addicts. They couldn't stop talking about him even if they wanted.

I think most ignore him. If it weren't for all the hyperbolic nonsense that comes from every scoop... we'd likely not notice for a few weeks.

Nothing.
I think cnn has like 50 employees with white house passes.
I would wager the white house now seats anyone from cnn at the back of all events.

His peers ...including fox news..... banded together to defend him. Sheesh the blinders needed to think like a koolaide drinker

That judge is a traitor... Now enemy #1 to the cult45 circle

The trump supporters are waiting to see what trump makes of the decision before they can have an opinion on it. If trump is OK with the ruling, so will they, if he's not... They're on board too.

That's why some of the default deflections have been slightly ambiguous in this thread. They're being carefully vague... Just in case..
