Fun fact, North Korea is a compulsory vote country. All residents over the age of 17 are required to vote in all elections.

Just so we're understanding each other here, we have someone championing the idea of compulsory voting in the US while saying the party he disagrees with will "never win another election."

Oh yeah, they're that out of touch with what the US was founded on.

Voter ID is really needed.

Just get that done and the Democrats lose 8% of the vote or so... everywhere.

S&F...

National voting holiday and mandatory voting is really needed. Just get that done and the Repubs never win another election.

So you want to turn a right into a mandate and a dictate.

My.

How authoritarian.

Uh, you realize that voting is the opposite of authoritarian right?

That went right over your head, huh?

And mine went right over yours.

Your head went over his head? I'm confused now. Are you leaping, levitating, or running around in the attic?

You realize that N Korea's leader is not elected right? If you are going to make comparisons then please try to make apples to apples comparisons as opposed to weak fear mongering ones.

They have an election for him, that's all I'm saying. It's one of a handful of compulsory election countries out there. Argentina is, too. Not coincidentally, Argentina is ranked 48th on the democracy index and is considered a very flawed democracy with some of the worst corruption alongside Mexico, Columbia, and El Salvador and only 1 point above Guatemala, which people are fleeing in droves. Moral of story, I reckon, at least the Argentinians have compulsory "democracy" or we'd be dealing with an even larger caravan of invaders heading towards the Southern border, ya?

If voting on policy only, without knowing who or which ‘side’ the policy belonged to, was compulsory: the dems would never win another election.

Oh I’m sorry, did you libs not realise there was such a thing as ‘policy’?

And lower the voting age to 12 years old. The Republicans would definitely be screwed.

We know Palm Beach County had [convenient] machine breakdowns (over heating

And those of us not blinded by partisan hacks know there were problems with the count machines the very first day. It was all over the news in Florida hard to miss it. Might have been false, but that would make Scott's team liars since they verified it.

Scott should be happy to win. He wouldn't have won if Broward didn't screw up the format on the form which is another violation. 30k or so people there didn't even check off on the senate seat he was going for. A lot of people said they didn't see it on the form being right below the instructions. That was the violation there wasn't supposed to be anything below the instructions because it blended in.

Like I said he is lucky, but instead he is being a whiny beotch that caved on the second amendment in my state.

Ok, so you made that comparison because? Do you think that if we require people to vote we will magically turn into North Korea? Because you have to know how ridiculous that argument is. And you wonder why the left accuses the right of fear mongering.

But not to worry, your right wing backup will side with you either way.

I'm saying authoritarian dumbasses will buy their way into leadership in the nation, as they have in California, Illinois, New York, Vermont, etc if we enact compulsory voting. What idiot wants the apathetic and lazy voting? Oh, never mind that question, actually, it's already been answered here.

Manditory voting is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. If anything, there should be a test to verify that you know what you're voting for.

Broward's director for election planning and development is unfamiliar with the state's website?

Can this get anymore embarrassing for the people of Broward county?
