WARNING- VIDEO POSTED BELOW CONTAINS PROFANITY

I've heard of birds eating fermented berries and getting drunk, then crashing due to their inability to fly while intoxicated, but this is the first time I've heard of raccoons getting hammered. I'm glad that the coons were released back into the wild and weren't killed over fears of people being bitten and infected by rabies. Incidentally, there was a recent report on the local news here in Seattle about a huge increase in the cost of rabies treatment medication and insurance companies not covering the cost which can be as much as $10,000. It seems that it is very rare for an human infected with rabies to die, however, a man in Utah recently lost his life after being infected by an undisclosed source (rabid child?).

SOURCE ARTICLE

Following recent reports that two masked perpetrators were raising alarm in a town in West Virginia, police say they have reason to believe the troublemakers had just gotten wrecked. The Milton Police Department reportedly received accounts of stumbling and disoriented raccoons at least twice in the last week, and locals worried the raccoons might have rabies. But those suspicions were wrong. The raccoons in question—including one who was identified by police as Dallas—had reportedly gotten wasted by eating some fermented crab apples. “Ptl Scarberry made his first apprehension today, taking this masked bandit into custody with assistance of Sgt Collins and several neighborhood residents,” the Milton Police Department wrote in a Facebook post on Monday. “Ptl Withers caught one yesterday on Brickyard Ave with the help of the city street department. Today’s culprit was on Highland Ave and Mason Street and it was a community effort.” Both raccoons have been safely collected and dropped off in the woods. The department noted that if you happen to stumble upon one of these drunk idiots, you should not approach them. Call the city’s non-emergency line and they’ll come to collect the bombed raccoon themselves.

When i was a kid we had loads of plum trees and apples , the ripe plums used to attract wasps and bees and they would get hammered on the juice and fall out of the trees drunk and a young me worked for the local apiarist in my spare time must have killed thousands of those pesky wasps when they were drunk ,

I make my own wine. So when I filter out the first stage there are a few gallons of berries that are about 10% alcohol.

We feed it to the deer and turkeys... it's hilarious to watch.

Soak some raisins in Alcohol till they swell up leave them out and all the pheasants will gobble them up and be to pissed to run of or fly away or if you want to be really lazy and frugal ,soak them in hot water till they swell up then cut them open with a sharp knife and add a sleeping tablet that you ground up in a mortal and pestle sow it shut then scatter them out for the tasty little beauties . ps i grew up in a family of gamekeepers and poachers and fishermen .

You enjoy the alcohol later over a fine meal
