if it could/does/did habour life would the size of the planet allow for larger nature or is it not as simple as that,
No it's not that simple.
Atmospheric density, gravity and temperature, Play a part in animal and plant life size.
So does whatever the life needs for energy. Here on earth the dinosaurs were giants compared to anything we have today. Why? Because the atmosphere
, temperature , oxygen content was different.
The questions are; what kind of atmosphere if any does the "super earth" have. What is the average temperature? What is the ratio of fresh water vs
salt vs land mass? What is the gravity like?
For an organism to grow large it needs the right environment in which it is advantageous for it to grow that large.
Many many factors have to fall in place. Not just the mass of the planet.
