I guess rigging an election can be a touch and go process.

Seems legit.

We really do live in a Banana Republic now, don't we?

Yep. And the bulk of both parties care more about propping up the idea that we don't than about seriously addressing it, nevermind fixing it.

So they then have to use the previous totals?

Might have to be a manual recount now.

And as the recount stands now, Rick Scott has gained another 1000 votes 😆

for the record......

Ms. Bucher blamed an overheated and outdated ballot-scanning machine. But the manufacturer of the high-speed scanner used in Palm Beach said its technicians had witnessed Palm Beach County elections workers, apparently worried that one of the machines was running too fast, jam a paper clip into the scanner’s “enter” button in an effort to slow it down. That, in turn, caused a short circuit that cut off the power, a company spokeswoman said. zourze

Isn't jamming a paperclip into the "enter" button meant to speed up the machine? They thought it was moving too SLOW. No?
