For the record, i don't care about any of that reverence nonsense.

But that being said, how can a political grouping that kneels during national anthems and burns flags have the moral temerity to even criticize this?

From an outsider looking in (not pro or anti Trump).

How can you not see the direct inverse of what you just said being applicable?

Yet you always seem to be Anti Trump.

Once again, twice in three days to be exact, the occupier of the White House failed to honor America’s war dead.

Was he scheduled to attend that ceremony?
It was a nice gesture by the french group.

You guys are pathetic! Not standing for the national anthem is a legal form of peaceful protest, which is a First Amendment right. It's exercising our constitutional right to make a peaceful statement. There's a long history of sports figures doing so!

It's rather alarming considering conservatives always stood on the side of less government control. Instead, you're standing by a President who not only wants to control a constitutional right of a free press, but also the rights of Americans to peacefully protest. If that isn't hypocritical enough, conservatives claim to have the moral high ground, yet stand by a president who belittles, name calls, lies, and separates migrant children from their parents at the border. If you think that's so christian like, ask yourself would Jesus Christ himself act in this way? I think not.

You Trump supporters want Americans to become passive and afraid to speak-up to our government leaders and representatives! This is exactly why the people of tyrannical governments have fear to express themselves and protest. A government that doesn't protect their people from peaceful protests or allows free expression is simply govern by a dictatorship. A president or representative is no better than the citizens he or she represents. Yet this president is firing and re-placing an attorney general to help him from being prosecuted and to derail a legal investigation into government corruption. What American citizen would be allowed to do such a thing? He's not above the law, yet he can manipulate the legal system for his own protection! Conservatives should be ashamed of themselves for supporting a president who has shown himself to be a wannabe dictator. I always thought both Dems and Repubs would hold up their oath of office "to protect support and defend the Constitution of the United States." Unfortunately, it seems like party is much more important than country.

Here you go, educate yourself on past national anthem protests...

when that becomes the topic, i will have ammo to foist at Trump. Until then, the inverse is a hypothetical we can relish waiting on.

Eh, to me it just looks like the right has taken the playbook of the left from the 2016 elections.

Staunch Trump supporters defend him like extreme Obama supporters were unable to admit when he is human and does wrong from time to time.

You'll see me defend Trump sometimes. I'm merely pointing out from someone who picks issue by issue, this looks bad on him.

The fact people are too cocky to say that given the fit he through over Kap speaks volume.

Lucky for Trump supporters, the left is going to go with "We're not Trump" in 2020, and will likely lose.

After that, people will have had their fill with the cockiness of it all just like the people showed that in 2016.

More like orange man = national embarrassment.

No I’m far from foaming at the mouth. Actually I’m sitting here in my family room with an episode of the closer on in the background. Tending to my fire and wondering if I need to crack a window as it’s getting kinda toasty in here.

You’re the one bringing up the right/left paradigm not me.

I’m nobody’s pawn. It’s true that I consider myself a democrat. I’m registered as one. But the reason for this is simple. It’s the ONLY organized opposition party with a strong national presence. It doesn’t mean I’m a mindless yes man for the machine. I am far from it. The Republican Party was hijacked in the 70’s and no longer represents its core values. And until they can find their roots I will remain in strong opposition.

With all that being said. It doesn’t change the fact that tRump is a national embarrassment. In the end he’s gonna do far more damage to your side than you are willing to believe.

That's because anytime someone says something that isn't part of the script, you get your panties in a wad and those instances stick out for you.

I like Trump I am a righty ,conservative racist Nazi. LOL.

I voted for Obama the 1st term and Bill Clinton for Christs sake. You are not in the middle thinking critically lol.

He has done far more to correct the course of the nation than anyone before him. The reason he embarrasses some of you is because you are snobs. Snobs take cues from other snobs to find out who is cool or not, and since the top snobs in politics and media disapproved, so did you.

Interesting to know. Obama was kind of like Bush pt 2, but in your defense, he didn't campaign on that.

I'll keep those in mind for the future, but how else do you expect people to perceive you if your rebuttal to them to a valid point is "keep parroting CNN". I don't watch CNN, or any other major outlet, but I recognize buzz phrases when I see them.

I am thinking critically, me and you obviously have different priorities, and Trump is not addressing my top ones, but he isn't necessarily the anti thesis to them like Obama, and Bush were.

He's not a Messiah, and he isn't the devil. Sometimes things are just in a grey area.

What “political grouping ” is burning flags? Are they official representives of this “grouping?” They don’t represent me, or my beliefs, nor my tenets. But if my memory serves, the fellow that started this dialog was doing so because he believed black people were being treated wrongly by law enforcement. And if you happened to see the news from yesterday, he might actually have a valid point. Now does this mean I’m a black lives matter supporter? No way, just another front group trying to push a political agenda.... no thanks.

But then again. I wonder why they have hijacked our national anthem for an for profit event.

Every thread is you foaming at the mouth, Orange man bad!! It's pitiful.

You're just another pawn, easily lead and siphoned by leftist propaganda. You ain't no battle and certainly no patriot.

I mean, Kap reaped what he sowed. God knows I couldn't protest on my companies dime. Was he free to do so, absolutely, was the NFL right in saying they didn't want any part in him, yup (even though they said that with actions).

People care because Trump makes it a point to make issues out of non issues. He was on it more than everyone else, and I have yet to see him go abroad to see the troops (which most presidents do), and he skipped these ceremonies.

That said, I don't care that Trump skipped them, I'm not a vet, I'll try not to speak for them, hence why I've never used hyperbole like "he's a disgrace to the troops", most of them probably support him.

But let's be honest, Trump has bitched about double standards his whole way in, and now him and his supporters are making them as well.

I saw the intentional misspelling of tRump, and figured I'd click on this for a laugh.

If you use the words/spellings of tRump, Drumpf, Libtard, Snowflake, #45, or the like, your opinion immediately holds no value; anything you say is immediately suspect and cannot be taken seriously under any circumstance.

In my....... Humble Opinion.
