A case where there is a signature with the ballot.

What about all the all ballots counted on election day. No trust now but trust then?

In the future will we need to allow two groups to collect the same votes and compare totals.

Why the concern over a voters name being revealed? Names are public record anyways. I can understand if image reveals how someone voted, but if it is just names on envelopes...no harm, no foul...right?

Are they worried the real voter would reveal that they did not vote or that individual is not even alive?

It's not a "concern", it's the "excuse" to hide and manipulate 💥🤫💥

here's the thing. after the counting is done on Tuesday, we have reporting and one side or the other is up by a KNOWN amount. then throw into the mix these mailed ballots being counted 5 days later now, and IF (note I said if) someone was to want to flip a result through fraud, they would know exactly how many votes they need. this is a situation that is ripe for fraud.....

I remember a couple years ago, a guy around here was charged with murder. He was acquitted; he didn't do it. Good thing, because now there is no murder since he was innocent.

Someone in Chicago is lying... one acquittal means it can never happen.

Yes, that is convenient isn't it. The non machine ballots should be is a known place and number accounted on election day. Vote and get them in on time or not valid.

When these numbers pass a few thousand, something is wrong with those in charge of the system.

Nice find. One really does have to wonder why the counting can’t be filmed. Possibility of evidence in lawsuits?

It says it right there in the OP...

Bucher accused several reporters of illegally taking pictures and videos of signatures on the envelopes of mail ballots.

Signatures on “envelopes” of mail in ballots. So everyone in the postal chain can see them but they can’t be filmed?

What a silly response.

Obviously she's referring to the names and return addresses on the envelopes that are then opened so their vote can be counted.

Here they come !!!

Pam Bondi bears teeth in recount fight, raises prosecution threat for Broward, Palm Beach officials

Outgoing Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi today scolded the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for refusing thus far to investigate the tabulation of votes in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Bondi also demanded Secretary of State Ken Detzner report all election irregularities in the Democratic counties to Florida’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.

The attorney general sent a letter to FDLE Commissioner Rick Swearingen saying the state law enforcement agency had an obligation to investigate now.

There is absolutely nothing protected re names and return addresses on envelopes. They do not, in any way, indicate how someone voted (which is protected).

Do they remove the votes from the envelopes, throw them in a pile, then count them?

Florida is the trashcan of the south. It doesn't surprise me that they can't count. Every election this point forward should just be thunderdome. Seriously...he who wins gets to take office.

Now the media is to be trusted?

Cameras and ballots don't go together. The data is probably not visible but can that be assured.

as long as the anonymity of the person who voted is protected, I am ok with filming. one thing I find interesting. one side loses the plot over facebook ads that tried to sway votes, but are very reluctant to tackle possible fraud that would have a much larger impact on the integrity of our elections.....odd isnt it?

So you are ok with aroding the constitution in increments, just not the 2nd right?

Kobach and crew tackled the voter fraud, they really didn't find any. Either your guys are failures, or you are being disingenuous. I am going to go out on a limb and say "option c" both statements are valid.

The big question is "does it contain ballots".

So many people don't even try to do they job correctly any more. I wonder if the guy would have forgot his luggage or shopping bags.

Not needed, but counting the same 10,000 ballots over and over and over again after they have been sorted into party votes or even quasi-random. In either case when the percentage of ballots cast/counted is compared to the eligible voter roll (and should indeed be published) in contrast to other counties. Then the answer show be very telling as to voter fraud.

115% turnout of eligible voters would be too obvious, but anything over and above 45% should be suspect. I would guess we are in the neighborhood of 65-70% right now.
