My God you are a moron.

Pulling the press pass of a grandstanding fool is not hurting the press. They didn't ban CNN. They can still have a reporter there.

This isnt about freedom of the press or anything else. These clowns need to be reigned in and forced to start doing their jobs. Which are as JOURNALISTS, not ACTIVISTS.

Only when piece of human garbage was banned.

Stop being such a moron all the time.

Amendment 1 BOR, AKA "freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, etc"

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Congress has made no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; nor have they abridged the freedom of speech, or of the press. They also have not denied anyone the right of peaceable assembly and they have not denied anyone the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The President has not issued any Executive Orders, Presidential Proclamations that abridges the freedom of the press nor has he lobbied congress to pass any law to that effect. He did not deny "the press" access to the WH or to himself, even though the First Amendment clearly does not burden the government to facilitate the free press.

This is not a First Amendment issue. Press passes are an internal WH process that enable quick access to WH facilities. He is merely required to obtain permission/have an escort like the rest of us are. And no doubt this is due to his continual rude and disruptive behavior and his efforts to intentionally torpedo US diplomatic efforts with multiple foreign nations.

Acosta has been displaying odd and aggressive behavior for a while now. He may very well have emotional or psychological problems of some kind, imo. I found his behavior today a bit bizarre, especially his refusal to stop talking and relinquish the mic.

His aggression was a bit disturbing. It's probably best that he take a break and perhaps seek some mental health help.
He really doesn't need to be anywhere near the White House staff, much less our president.

You see, I know this is hard for some to understand, but we have rules and etiquette for public spaces, you get your turn and move on, it's called sharing (imagine the mic was somebody else's money and Acosta was voting to keep more of his own). When a person over steps their bounds and infringes others rights in a shared space there are repercussions, this is called justice.

What Obama did was worse by a large degree

My point is most of the people upset about the Acosta situation were far less concerned about Obama’s far more egregious violations, proving they don’t really care about the free press as much as attacking trump

Most, but not all

I have yet to see any argument about how this was an attack on free press

Had a fox reporter acted like this to Obama, I would have had no problem with Obama revoking that reporters pass
Every question to Obama was pre-screened and scripted. No tough questions were EVER allowed.

The argument I am hearing for this moron, coming from the shallow gallows from social media cesspools is freedom, of speech and press protect this moron, for his actions is a lack of education and decorum.

We are humans not monkeys, yet the more I read social media I am beginning to wonder if we have some trained monkeys 🐵 in front of keyboards.

Looking at stills he knew what he was doing.

Anyone with a basic understanding of martial arts would
spot this immediately. He used the edge and heel of his hand,
just as one would if breaking wood.

Fire his ass.

I'm surprised so many people support this. I see it as infringement on free press and free speech.

Really?
How many reporters do you see at Trump’s press conferences on a daily basis?...50?...100?
How many others have been banned?....ZERO.
I see it as getting rid of a petulant asshole masquerading as a journalist, planted in the WH press corp by the butt-hurt Leftist organization known as CNN, that masquerades as a news outlet.

You know, both of my grandmothers would have slapped the taste out of my mouth had I spoken to anyone much less the president of the United States of America in the manner that Acosta did to Trump in this specific scenario.

That people see the consequences Acosta brought upon himself as unwarranted is a testimony to partisanship.

Other people deserve a turn, he needs to learn he can't monopolize, now he knows just how far he can push.
If the woman goes to pull your mic you give it up for the next question, from the next reporter.

You may believe what Obama did was worse but I dont play that game.

I see it as a continuation of propaganda.

I dont really care about acosta getting revoked. I am talking about trump's rhetoric.

It seems the country agrees trump and the press are like middle school bullies measuring their......

K trump and the media act childish, both are at fault

But this is not an attack on the free press

What Obama did was, and that’s far more concerning to me that trumo or the media being childish, which is also annoying

So trump revoked anything Obama did about the press?

What trump is doing is every bit as bad imo. Its stooping down to the lowlife media and enjoying it.

It reminds of the sayin never get in a fight with an idiot in public or the public wont be able to tell who is who.

Being childish with the press is not as bad as using intel agencies to spy on press that is critical of you

Removing the press pass of a so-called journalist who assaulted a White House intern who was merely doing her job is not an over reaction. If I were any White House staffer, or President myself, I would be talking with that intern about pressing charges. Acosta got off lightly.

Do we let certain members of media act like babies and get away with it or do we need to put them in their place when needed?

Something has to give.

Excellent points ATS, as for leftist rebuttals, White Supremacist? Destroying the free press? None of which are corraborated or substatiated. Emotionally charged opinions? Of course.

I reiterate my position, in that Acosta acted unprofessionally in such a manner as to actually have a tussel match with a smaller female and his abrupt position, complete disregard for protocol.

Let this be an example and lets not get this twisted, his pass wasn't revoked as a result of "tough questions" lol, with cnn, is there such a thing? 🤭, Rather, his complete disrespect to the White House, the Press and POTUS, he got too big for his pants and thus, pays dearly 😌
