Personally I think this prompts mueller et al to make their move now. Whatever they got- it’s time to show the cards.

And left right or center- that should make everyone happy. No matter what he has- it’s time to know and unite. It’s tearing us apart and I for one am sick of it.

So what is the background of this Whitaker guy? Is he a Trump guy? Neutral? Any ideas? (I'm slammed at work so won't have time to look into it until later)

I wouldn't mind Lindsey Graham. He's been on fire as of late. Oh, and guess what. Nikki Haley is available to take his spot

I'll award you a half-star for mentioning Nikki Haley!

But I should take it away for the Lindsey Graham offering.

Hehe, prior to the death of his buddy McCain, I would have hung my head in shame for saying something positive about Graham. But since then, I can't say that as much. I see where you are coming from though.

And I you!

Graham has turned it around as of late, but his reputation precedes him.

In the end though, it's never too late to do the right thing.

Whitaker said last year that the way to end by mueller's investigation is to starve it for funding.

Dude, Russian collusion was a hoax. Even guys like Schiff, Pelosi, and Schumer have admitted they've seen no evidence to support it. Even if Mueller manages to concoct some minor charge, they don't have the votes to remove Trump. If you remember back to the Clinton years, the failed attempt to impeach Clinton ended up backfiring on the Republican badly in the 1996 election. It was probably directly responsible for securing his reelection.

Schumer wants Whitaker to recuse himself!

did he happen to say why?

Whitaker is supposedly overseeing the Mueller probe and they have their panties in a wad about that. They are also upset over where Rosenstein is ... no one knows.

Chuck schumer is demanding that Whitaker recuse himself immediately

This is going to be a $hitshow....LOL

worse than the press conference today ?
"sit down"
"put the mic down"

But since the probe is effectively done, there isn't much to do.

He was fired. It's like when an employer is going to fire an employee, they give them the option of resigning in order to save face. I mean if Trump asked him to resign and Sessions said no, would Trump say "OK, that's cool, you can keep the job".

Is that the one that showed the only sovereign country to help coordinate an attack on the US was Saudi Arabia?

So, the Rosenstein meeting is a previously scheduled meeting. He has told a colleague during on prior meeting that he had expected to be fired, so maybe this is axe day for him, but as this is a previously scheduled meeting, there is no reason other than Sessions to think that will happen to him this time in particular.

FOX reports.

Is this just trumps way of "ending" the investigation?
If the report is ready, and it has been reported it is done, then wouldn't this be a sneaky way of pushing the process to its conclusion? And before the dems take the house?
It seems the game is afoot?

Maybe Gowdy?

It will not be Gowdy. Gowdy already has said he does not want that job, and if Trump had any sense he would not want Gowdy.
