I say what I said with a heavy heart since I respect ATS and understand they have been taken over and it’s a question of business economics so I understand the reality why the site is doing what it's doing.

So it’s a sad reality a right-wing goon squad has taken over the site.

Well, if you really respected ATS, you would not say that.
ATS is a bellwether of what is going on in the world, and if you did not notice, it is F###### turmoil, and will be for some time to come.

Apparently John Kelley is the one that let Sessions know his resignation was accepted.

Another odd thing is that the resignation letter has no date on it. It is being speculated that POTUS had this and was waiting for the right time to release....curiouser and curiouser....

Sessions may have quit months ago...How would we know???

And lets not forget to acknowledge the significant percentage of ATS which is leftist, democrat, progressive, socialist. And they are free to talk about their ideals and even attempt to convert or force their ideals on other ATSers.

What this group seems to take issue with is the fact that IT DOESNT WORK ON US!!!

Bunch of crybabies.

That's only due to a lack of participation of you guys on the left...Did all y'all leave or just keeping quiet??? In my view, you guys were not able to defend the positions of those politicians you support, so you don't...That doesn't mean we took over...

That's not true. They do hold power. They can prevent all legislation from being approved.

They are definitely less important than the senate, but they are important.

I think he just realized that even if they managed to keep a few seats advantage it would not accomplish much, because unlike the Democrats, Republicans do have some free thinkers, and a few are almost always not going to go along with the majority.

You really need at least a 10 seat advantage to get stuff through, and that was never realistic for this cycle.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

Trump just 'lost' a competition and is not happy

Just like a high level sports player with bad manners
congratulating the 'winner' through grated teeth
whilst calously blaming the team mates

That's just one analogy i guess

Trump throws his cuddlies out of the pram
in a Trumpian Tantrum is more apt though

Yeah I know.

Their fantasies don't make the slightest bit of sense.

They want to impeach Trump for doing nothing illegal. They think that somehow they can get 2/3 of the Republican controlled senate to do that, then they think they can do that all over again for Pence.

It really is so stupid.

But I guess we should not expect them to act rationally. They have not acted rationally one day since Trump was elected.

I bet half of them still don't realize collusion isn't a crime.

They just believe and regurgitate whatever CNN tells them to.

Funny how he waited literally one day after the election. My god, sooo brazen forcing Jeff Sessions to resign! He better leave Mueller's investigation alone or it's obstruction of justice, again.

He recently said he'll leave the investigation alone but no one believes that. Mueller's investigation will soon be shut down, and then what? Do we have a dictator in office? Will any Trump supporters criticize him or, dare I say, lose support for Donald J. Trump?

Obstruction again?

Well if he already obstructed justice, the why do you care if he does it again?

Surely he is soon to be charged with the first obstruction and found guilty.

Its almost like you know he didnt obstruct yet, are making it up, and are worried that he may now do that.

We already had an authorization president that weaponized his doj and irs against opponents, asserted executive privilege to protect his head of doj wingman, and had his doj meet in secret with the target of an investigations spouse why he proclaimed her innocence before the investigation happened.

And people on the dems side cheered that on.

Ahem...a quick revsion in modern history for the less remembering people
Saturday Night Massacre

Has Giuliani gone yet ?

Sheesh, for the failure-to-clicables, i'll lead you in with this primer :

The Saturday Night Massacre was a series of events which took place in the United States on the evening of Saturday, October 20, 1973, during the Watergate scandal.

U.S. President Richard Nixon ordered Attorney General Elliot Richardson to fire independent special prosecutor Archibald Cox; Richardson refused and resigned effective immediately. Nixon then ordered Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus to fire Cox; Ruckelshaus refused, and also resigned. Nixon then ordered the third-most-senior official at the Justice Department, Solicitor General Robert Bork, to fire Cox. Bork considered resigning, but did as Nixon asked.

The political and public reaction to Nixon's actions were negative and highly damaging to the president. A new special counsel was appointed eleven days later on November 1, 1973 and on November 14, 1973, a court ruled that the dismissal had been illegal.

No way, the dude tried that shti !

Huh? First of all, you don't think Trump admitting on national TV that he fired Comey because of, in his words, "that Russier thing"? You think Mueller isn't considering this as a No-No? Obstruction #1.

Obstruction #2 will be if and when Trump ends the Mueller investigation via his new AG and deputy AG. You don't think there's a problem with that?

Thirdly, you're argument is that, from my POV, since he already committed obstruction once why should I care about him doing it again? Are you seriously asking me that question? And more importantly, are you okay with him committing two HUGE acts of obstruction?

If Obama were in his shoes would you oblige him the same offer?

Its almost like you know he didnt obstruct yet, are making it up, and are worried that he may now do that.

Like seriously? As I've said above, Trump admits to obstruction. You don't see that? Is your head willfully in the ground or no? Unreal.

We already had an authorization president that weaponized his doj and irs against opponents, asserted executive privilege to protect his head of doj wingman, and had his doj meet in secret with the target of an investigations spouse why he proclaimed her innocence before the investigation happened.

I will point out the obvious case of Whataboutism and Deflection but right there you just answered my question above, as in would you have let Obama get away with this? And the answer, as we all know is a big fat NO! If fact, conservatives were trying to blame Obama for anything and everything they could think of. Your President was one of the Right Wing leaders heading the charge that Obama is a Kenyan. So no, no you wouldn't just let Obama get away with you're about to let Trump get away with.

And what Democrats, where, were cheering on Obama breaking the laws you listed above? The IRS was targeting conservatives. This is nonsense as the IRS also targets Liberal organizations as well, I think even more so at that time. But conservatives LOVE to play the victim and will fully believe in ANYTHING as long it fits their political beliefs, conspiracies, wishes, daydreams, and so on. All of us who don't subscribe to your conservative tribe all see this and you can say it's not true and that I'm delusional but just know you're not fooling any of us. We have been seeing through all you this entire time. There is no amount of pre-dug holes in the sand your camp can dig for us that will sway our decisions to join you. Keep your holes, we're all good!

But worst of all, you and your kind are more than ready to make excuses for this criminal president (he gets a little p for now on). He's been priming you all since day one to have his side no matter what. Worst, worst, worst of all, this same president continues to call the media the enemy of the people even after CNN was mailed multiple bombs by a die hard supporter of his. He continues to call Democrats unhinged mobs. His propaganda of Fear trickles down to you, his supporter via Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc, and people are getting killed. When asked by journalists if he will tone down his rhetoric he said he will not. Great. What a guy. What a leader?

Why you guys attack these so called Liberal/Progressive cable news channels is beyond me since they're Trump's biggest fan and with Fox News help spread Trump's message. This has been going on, also, since day one. Trump may have not raised as much campaign money as Clinton, but he sure did raise a hellva alot from his wealthy donors (see: Robert Mercer) but those same so called Liberal/Progressive media news organizations, along with Fox News, gave Trump over a billion dollars of free air time on their networks and that continues right now. He's playing the con game and the media you hate so much is helping him every step of the way.

How any Trump supporter doesn't see at least something wrong with his administration is either willfully ignorant because their team won or don't have the ability to comprehend the situation. I mean, Trump did settle just before swearing in office to the tune of 25 million dollars because he conned poor people out of their money. Not a peep from camp Trump and if anyone dares bring it up deflections, whataboutisms, and attacks on the person asking such a terrible question. How could you! *clutches their pearls*

The man is a criminal. He has a history of it but since he's super rich he gets away with it. America has the BEST judicial system money can buy. If you have the money and the connections you can do just about anything. Sometimes, ATS posters actually get mad at wealthy elitist getting away with such things. But Trump has some kind of deal with the Devil to where he is immune from taking responsibility for his own actions but more incredibly, has a huge fan base that will push and scream to defend him at every turn. Reminds me of a cult, to be honest.

~sigh~

So please tell me when Trump ordered the AG to fire someone.

Links please?

Oh... and don't watch CNN. They were the ones trying to do a "revision" of history today by attempting to link the two events.

They make you look stupid when you post their "facts" online.

I do not see how firing Comey is obstructing justice. Was the Mueller probe cancelled or hindered in someway that because of it, that would affect the outcome?

Don't see it.

Actually, he did it under the urging of Rosenstein. The DAG.

People somehow forget that.

Guess it doesn't fit the narrative...
