Proposal one passed in Michigan.

Marijuana is legal for Recreational use.

I wonder if this will be good or bad.

Can someone from the other states that already legalized it chime in here, and tell me what I should expect?

It's going to be the Apocalypse, you should run.

Buy as much Alcohol as your can on your way out, they sell it at Walmart in Michigan, and there is no time limit on when you can purchase.

I live in Oregon.

Death, mayhem, chaos, murder, madness.

And that's just my morning drive to work.

Really?

No big deal.

Just saw it on Mlive.

One less reason to put people in jail can’t be a bad thing.

Will be an interesting next couple years to see how it all goes down.

It's winter almost half the year? You've got nothing BUT time for that.

Bah, yes you're correct. Was meant to include DB's post of death/mayem etc.

We have lots of time for enjoying things in the warm air.

One more down, many more to go.

For medicinal patients shops will turn into recreational and medicinal cards and permission by Drs. will likely be phased out.

Under Michigan's new legalization law adults will be able to grow up to 12 total marijuana plants at home, possess 2.5 ounces in public and store 10 ounces in their residence—in addition to what they grow legally.

The measure directs state regulators will issue business licenses for cultivators, processors, testing labs, secure transporters, retail outlets and cannabis microbusinesses.

Cities and towns will be able to regulate or ban commercial marijuana activity.

Regulation, sure if by set guidelines. My state had issues with cities banning it on the commercial/selling level as that was a choice, wasn't a popular choice and some of it has been resolved.

Retail sales will be subject to 10 percent sales tax on top of state tax.

Police can focus crimes rather than on marijuana charges and eventually marijuana convictions may be cleared.

Taxes will pour in.

Initially the state may run out of product like other states and Canada when the legal sale dates begin.

Jeff Sessions will be gone tomorrow.

Good news for fans of legalization.

... and fans of good sense in general.

The worst part of pot being illegal is that getting caught can stop youth from getting scholarships and school assistance. Maybe they are the lucky ones, they do not have student loans hanging over their heads for years.

Everyone knows you shouldn't start smoking till you start college.

I actually like the looks of cannabis plants, we can now have them in the house for house plants.
