I'm looking at 49 senate seats filled, 5 in play...

House is still a tossup.

Anyone watching CNN, etc?

This is interesting times indeed.

Sorry for the really short OP, but everyone is watching results and I don't have much to add.

Whatcha thinking this election night, fellow Americans?

I believe the Republicans will keep the Senate and the Democrats will flip the House. Not what I'm hoping for, but it's what I think. Kept myself out of the prediction game until now. Either way it'll probably be pretty close. No wave of any color.

Even Fox News call it for the Dem's winning the House.

Senate the GOP will hold.

So there's your Blue Wave.

It kinda pissed me off... wanted to do a good OP and hit enter twice or something?

So excuse me for the piss-poor OP.

It was entirely my fault and I hope the Mods excuse it.

However... whatcha thinking?

The Florida/Texas races are nail-biters, pretty happy Blackburn dominated, Michigan and Arizona too close to call..

The house seats are all over the place, but they will settle into blue when they get to the Left Coast...

Or will they?

Political porn at it's finest.

Obama lost 63 house seats his first midterm.

Just reminding you of what a wave really looks like.

Results are not over yet, cricket.

Republicans: Senate, White House, Supreme Court

Democrats: House

As we've seen this year, the U.S. House has little authority.

Do you think there should be only one party to decide all?

I am not seeing this huge blue wave, at all. The republicans look like they got both big races in Florida (no idea why they have not been called). Also, even if the Dems take the House, it is looking like it wont be by that many seats. It is not even close to the 60 plus seats lost during Obama's presidency in 2010. The media can in no way spin this as a blue wave.

So does this mean the parties will come together in grand compromise after seeing that even with record turn out the country is still devided?

it’s been predicted for over a month. So it doesn’t surprise me in the least that they got the house. I made another post earlier and mentioned that when Republicans got the house against Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. It paved the way for their reelection .

I’m hoping for two things.

That the same scenario happens again in 2020 for trump.

And

That the Democrats turn on Nancy Pelosi and she’s not speaker of the house .

The 80-year-olds borderline dementia ridden democrats don’t realize that the progressives will turn on them In a instant .

BTW I wasn’t as much making fun of you for the OP as I was myself .

A one party state? No, let's not go there.

Tulsi Gabbard for Speaker!!!!

I could live with that.

But, alas, 'tis very unlikely.

That would be great

On the fox coverage they mentioned that 63 democratic congressman ( better say people so I don’t get call the sexiest 😱) have already said they would vote against Nancy. She needs 218 .
