A few weeks back I was scrolling through my YT feed and I ran across some videos of the Honda Grom, a cute little 125cc "sportbike", a wee paddock bike.

It's so adorable I'm thinking of getting one to run between home and various places in town when I expect the load will be light (backpack). Think library, farmer's market, etc.

Are there any members who have one? If you have one, please post your opinions and any other information you might want to share.

Many thanks,

CT 😁

In the UK they're known a Monkey Bikes. I'll let you figure out the reason.

Show her a pocket bike and tell her it could be worse. 😋

There is a Monkey Bike model, which is more like a mini-bike.

I think the real monkey bikes are the pocket bikes you see trained monkeys riding.

They are pretty popular here with the urban hipster set. You can modify them to look like all kinds of styles of bikes... scrambles, cafe racers etc.

Ah, so that's what they are called....

I still have my CT70 K1 mini bike from 1972.

You realise that "Grom" is MORG backward, right?

Hopefully, not too many Grom riders will end up there.......

I'm a responsible rider. It's the 4-wheelers+ you have to look out for.

Around my area there's a troop of at least 25 of these guys that get together to ride around on their Groms.

I call em Gromkins.

I have the Kawasaki version, Z125. It’s fun to buzz around town on, top speed 55 mph. Selling it customized for $2800, in New York

I had a Ninja years ago. Too hard to start. I'm done with Kawasaki.

My Hondas start right up, even with dry carbs in the winter.
