no - they have to " test the system " - and that requires the display of some result - entered at the whim of whoever operates the controll panel .

the controlers political opinions are bound to affect what nunbers they punch in

get over it

So why did they apologize? Stuff like that for Live TV is tested Backstage this was inserted during a live broadcast

Hmmm subliminal efforts? :.....Put's on tinfoil hat.......lol

Quick clarification here,” a rather embarrassed All In host Chris Hayes told viewers. “Just want to say, earlier this hour, uh, we showed a graphic of the Florida gubernatorial race. May have caught your eye because our system had inadvertently populated some test numbers. Obviously, we do not yet have any vote totals here, the night before the election. That was a misfire. Don’t worry. I was pretty confused when I saw it up there, to see it myself.”

The controllers political opinions are deluded.

i dont know enough about the florida political demographic to make that judgement

but - do you agree that the person running the AV system has to put some numbers in to get a valid test display - and that theier political leanings will bias that test ?

thats all i said

Heres a parody by the Onion.

It would be funnier if it didnt hit so close to home.

There are more sane ways to "test" a graphic.

Because if they didn't then people would be whining for an apology. Apologising is the gut reaction to everything, just in case someone took offence or reads too much into an error. Er, as per OP and some of the comments so far.

Is it an error, or, "we know its wrong, but do it anyway, we will apologise later" ?...

AND as accurate as that parody was, I laughed at the last line in that video

"After the break, they have found a cure for Awakeness!".

Nice parody and worthy comedy.

I think some people over-analyse.

I recall it was FDR who stated

"nothing in politic's ever happens by accident, it is always purely by design"
