Ante this was hilarious. I look forward to all the death and destruction. Especially after all the death and destruction already inflicted upon us all by the initial election of Trump and the Republicans.

We should vote democrats because for the last 2 years they've had substance, idea's, positions, actions and honesty in their words?
I'm sure you'll both enjoy the entertainment, get yourselves together,

divvy in together to pay for some rubber gloves,

maybe a few beers and a bucket of popcorn too !

I think any objective person can see which side is fear mongering more. Heck, look at the protests and wailing after trump won for a good clue.
If it worked for the Dems, then it sure as hell can work as effectively as well for the GOP
Only with the amp, ramped all the way to 11 on core issues,
just to make it all even more-so obscene in Trumplandia

The general argy/bargy here, much less any form of debate
really seems to be that whatever the outcome
no-one will be happy, and that the whole country will take to the streets

I can actually see that really happening, just like Kryties
not through any particulier animosity .. but just the .. atmosphere that's brewing

Even then, i'm not convinced that "the lefties" will start it all through butthurt
It'll be by emboldend by the un-checked and courtisé ultra-right

I'll willingly exaggerate and say this :

If there is a "red wave" tomorrow
The Dems'll just shrivel up, try to re-invent, be useless until ....  the 2030's (?)

If there is a "blue wave" tomorrow
then, there will be cries of rigged voting, cheating, fake votes...
by Trump and his followers, all howling at the moon
"Get out and protest guys, that's not on, get out there and protest ! "

Y'all see where that's going ?...

Charlotesville could become a weekly event

A weekly event, that whilst normal people abhor
a certain number of ATS'ers (that would be you lot in the back row)
will still cheer, jeer and rejoice as some kind of vindication

Tonight's film then

Synopsis : What happens when Alt-right meets Alt-left on the street ?
1 person dies

Bread and circus anyone ?

You already ignored or explained away the thousands of people dying from the Paris accord withdrawal, tax cuts, and the confirmation of (oops, we forgot to fill in the blank before sending our fundraising emails) as Supreme Court Justice.

You clearly think Democrats have no irrational fears. Probably explains why so many of you have PTSD.

We have over 20 million illegal immigrants in this country. Allowing caravans of people to flaunt our laws wikll encouarage even more.

I don't think we should allow caravans of people to flaunt our laws. I'm not really seeing any support for that from anyone so I don't think it's a big issue but yes, I don't think we should let these people come pouring in. If they want to seek asylum, which appears to be the case, then they should apply for asylum. If they try to cross illegally, they should be apprehended.

Many people on these trips, particularly women and children are abused or raped.

That's the stated purpose for why they're traveling in a caravan.

Stopping the incentive for these caravans to form is a big deal. The democrat allusions toopen borders make matters far worse and it is not sustainable.

The only one who I can think of offhand who has advocated for open borders is Ellison. I'm skeptical that many of these people are motivated by his musings. I'm of the opinion that most are incentivized by the same thing as many of our own forebearers — fleeing a bad situation with the dream of a better life for themselves and their children.

Look, you can say the tea party was more fearmongering than the resist people if you want.

everyone who saw tea party protest vs the resist people know which was worse.

That's not what fear mongering is. Fear mongering is when demagogues try to use irrational or exaggerated fear to motivate people to take action. Neither the Tea Party or #Resist protesters would be appropriately deemed fear mongers aside from maybe the organizers.

I dunno, who do you consider the "#Resist people" exactly? And how much time did any of us spend giving af about violence and the like at Tea Party protests? In 2009, how many people were livestreaming from protests? How many people were shooting video on cell phones and uploading it YouTube?

This is the quality of cell video from 2008:

If I track down a dozen #ty videos of Tea Partiers acting like assholes, is that going to persuade you that they're were just as bad?

We've got kids in Indiana chanting "assassinate Obama" and here's some Palin fans teaching their kids to be racists?

This guys got a whole trove: Here's a guest on Fox News saying somebody out to assassinate Obama. People saying they were assaulted for their MAGA hats? This guy says he got beat for his Obama shirt. Tea Partiers harassing a pregnant woman? Is it too late for people to be appalled?

Just this past month we were told that kavanaugh getting appointed would result in women being like the handmaidens tale and sexual slaves of men.

Yeah well that's fear mongering for ya.

The climate change hysteria and how it will kill us all continues to this day.

Climate change is real. I don't know that it's going to kill us all off anytime soon but I also don't agree with Republicans who say we've got nothing to worry about because their invisible friend who lives in the sky will take care of it.

The idea that trump is an authoritarian facist that will destroy democracy is one of the main talking points of the Democrats.

He's definitely got some powerful authoritarian tendencies.

And lets not forget those russian facebook trolls that even you yourself are oh so concerned about!

I can't comment on it because I said something mildly conservative and I was banned from all social media. Amiright? How long are you going to ignore that the social media campaign was one facet of Russian meddling in the election?

The truth is you feel the fear from the democrats is justified (they are mostly not) and so you give them a pass.

Everyone thinks the fear mongering tailored to them is justified. That's the point. It wouldn't be a thing if they didn't.

The democrats have engaged in far more fear mongering about trump in far greater numbers and at far more powerful positions than republicans ever did to Obama.

There's about 100,000 ATS threads that disagree with your amnesia.

Oddly enough it's the MSM and Democrats that keep repeating the message "migrants are rapists, murderers and drug dealers". Over and over and over that same message.
Trump has only ever said "some" of them and called them mostly "good people".
But regardless of character it's not a license to break the law.
Something completely lost on the Democrats.
Every last one of them that tries to cross the border illegally is a criminal.

What if the Republicans keep the house and Senate?

The deep state is so big they can still continue to block and resist.

Citizens want a travel ban. President wants a travel ban , but no some liberal judge has the final word.

Republicans keep everything. Most will just see how much resistance there really is

They ARE doing it legally with the caravan. That is how you request asylum. You can’t do it at an embassy or a consulate. You have to come to the border of the US and request it.
Let me repeat that bc Repubs are less than intelligent. THEY MUST COME TO THE US TO REQUEST ASYLUM.

posted on Nov, 10 2018 @ 09:59 AM
No one is "afraid" of the caravan.

We just don't want them here. We don't have to fear them to exclude them.

Each person must be vetted individually, to determine what (if anything) they can contribute to the country before being permitted entry. It must then be done legally, through an approved point of entry and must be people who never took place in attacks funded by America's arch enemies: NAZI/mass murdering/mass starving socialist crimes against humanity in failed states like Venezuela

They simply aren't wanted here. America is for Americans - not a lump of foreigners who think they (for some reason) have a right to enter this country despite us telling them "NO."

"NO MEANS NO" right leftist? Well the answer is "NO" to them. The answer is "Our military/militias must use ANY force necessary to stop them and uphold the law. Including deadly force. Including air strikes. Including retaliatory strikes on their home countries and the enemies of America funding them. By. Any. Means. Necessary."

For the last time:

Call it arrogant if you want. I do think America/Americans are better than foreigners. Hence why I'm a "nationalist"

No it is not gosh darnit. You are intentionally making that up.

1) It must be done ONLY through an authorized port of entry.

2) It must be done in accordance with our asylum law: you can't get asylum if you're starving at home. You can't get asylum if there is high crime at home. You can't get asylum for domestic violence, gang violence, etc. You can ONLY get asylum if you are fleeing GOVERNMENT PERSECUTION

3) An executive order prohibits ANY person from seeking asylum on the South border now. (or it will, at least)

Liars make me sick

EDIT: I Apologize for the profanity, it is a tool of the lazy minded

Like immigration, asylum is a privilege granted by the State and is NOT a Constitutional right. Asylum ONLY applies to cases of state violence/persecution (like when a socialist/communist comes up with a nightmarish solution of genocide and mass murder like the socialist states of past)

A Christian fleeing radical Islam persecution would qualify for asylum.
A subject of Venezuela escaping persecution for their right-wing beliefs by their illegitimate socialist government would qualify for asylum.
A person fleeing to prevent political persecution would qualify for asylum.

Someone fleeing high gang violence would not qualify.
Someone fleeing hunger would not qualify.
Someone fleeing domestic violence, petty crime or other forms of non-gang violent crime would not qualify.
Someone simply wanting to live in the US would not qualify.
Someone who bypassed Mexico/other safe nation's (ie: ones that won't persecute for the same reason) to specifically come here would not qualify.

...and as always, asylum is a privilege granted to specific individuals at the sole discretion of the President or his designee.

This is a bullsnip talking point.

Asylum is the process of seeking refugee status from a foreign country while in that foreign country or at its borders. So it's true. You can only seek asylum here in the US by coming to the US. That's what asylum is. By definition.

But you have to ignore the other ways to seek refugee status in the US for it to make any sense. You absolutely can seek refugee status in the US from an embassy. You can also seek it at a UNHCR locations in foreign countries. There are also NGO's throughout the world that can help you seek refugee status.

Asylum is not the only process to being granted refugee status.

Hey, that protester has it right.

The only good communist is a dead one, in my humble opinion.

Our people have sent millions of communists to hell (where they belong). How many wars has our brave nation fought and won against the scourge that is communism/socialism? Hopefully that bold legacy isn't over.

And anything else is communist propaganda.
