Here's a study published by The Journal of American College Health
"One out of four students met criteria for clinically significant symptoms related to the election... The high level of event-related distress is concerning because elevated symptoms of event-related stress are predictive of future distress and subsequent PTSD diagnoses."

Data from that study indicates campus Dems have more than twice the IES (impact of event score) than campus Republicans, scoring over 26 on average.

Sad.

What new "fear-mongering" can we expect from the Party of Fear?

FEAR can either make you a coward, or cause you to take action to eliminate the threat. Trump followers are in the latter category.

I'm betting the opposite, he hasn't stopped making Trump threads since he tossed his name in the ring and if you ask me, anyone who spends that much time on anti Trump threads must be making some good money.

168 mud pit threads since Trump.

Because there's money to be made debating politics in the ATS Mud Pit? I have a profession and it's not trying to talk idiots down from the ledge.

Trying being the operative word...

I am not afraid of the caravan, I just don’t want them in the goddamn country illegally.
Get in line and apply for citizenship.

Why do you think they're going to get into the country illegally or are even going to attempt to? Because it's been characterized repeatedly as an "invasion?"

You remember all the hooplah about the caravan in April that was organized by the same guy? That caravan was about as quarter as large as this one and by the time it reached the border, it had shrunk to less than a third of what it had been. I think 400 or so people applied for asylum and according to Shep Smith, there were 14 arrests.

There's no need to deploy the military to the border. It's clearly a stunt and Trump's all blabbering about shooting asylum seekers and the like to convince the slow-witted that he's somehow solving this manufactured crisis. Trump has talked of deploying up to 15,000 troops — twice what we have in Afghanistan — to do deal with what he's characterized as an "invasion."

Meanwhile, Gen. Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs, just said:

"There is no plan for U.S. military forces to be involved in the actual mission of denying people entry to the United States," Gen. Joseph Dunford said, according to ABC News.

"There is no plan for the soldiers to come in with immigrants or to reinforce the Department of Homeland Security as they are conducting their mission," he continued. "We are providing enabling capability."

I couldn't get past the first three lines so I'll guess what the topic was... that conservatives will riot in the street if we lose the House?

Nope.

This was a lot of reading for you to say you are an anti-isolationist. Why are you against America moving away from globalists?

Why do you think that "the globalists" are an external threat to the US? Are foreign companies exploiting us for our cheap labor? Raping our resources and destroying our land? Buying us with loans we can't repay so they can meddle in our domestic politics? Overthrowing our government to install a puppet regime?

We invented globalism.

...and left wing whingeing, and moaning.

Frankly, it's gotten old. Very, very old. For eight years, we had to listen to the right moan about Obama...he at least sucked as a President.

Two years on now, and many, including you, are beginning to sound much like the worst of the right during Obama's stint in office, and are showing no signs of lessening any.

Seriously, you all sound just like them.

Yup, this is how you apply for asylum in an orderly fashion.

My mates and I down here in Oz have started taking bets on whether or not America is headed into Civil War Part 2.

I have a tenner on 'Yes'.

"It is racist to only allow citizens to vote" : Chuck Schumer

No, Chuck Schumer didn't say it is racist to only allow citizens to vote

"Just because someone is here illegally does not mean they broke any of our laws" : Nancy Pelosi who will be the majority leader if the house flips blue.

Can you find a legit source for this quote because all I'm coming up with is memes and people excerpting fake news blogs.

"The next Supreme Court Justice should be an illegal immigrant" Maxine Waters

I think she probably did say something along those lines. I'm convinced Maxine Waters is a troll. Either way, she's certainly not an a "fine example of the Democratic mind set."

On the other hand, at least one and probably two out of three "quotes" you've posted are fake. What's that say for the amount of disinformation the average Trump supporter is being inundated with?

If people are tired of the economy waking up in the USA where there are more jobs than people looking to work or if they are tired of the tax breaks with more to come, then be sure to vote democrat and we can all be just like other failed economies if they have their way.

Again, unemployment is down 1 percentage point in two years. The economy was not failing when Trump took office. How exactly do you think there are going to be more tax breaks? Because Trump said so? At this point, the next thing that is going to happen is probably going to be that the GOP is going to try to cut a bunch of spending and some of it is not going to be popular with their base.

Then what? It's not going to be more tax cuts.

Yes we did. And when we were done exporting our jobs overseas to slave labor there, we realized we needed to import our own slave labor here.

You are clueless on this subject.

Do you realize if the left doesn't take both the house and senate there was no blue wave, or we can call it a 6 inch wave. Taking the house would be a no #...That is what happens on a mid term, OK WEEeee blue wave!!!

Do you realize that there are 35 seats up this mid-term and Democrats are defending 26 of them?

LOL and you have the nerve to talk about fear mongering. What a joke.

I didn't say that fear mongering was rare or confined to Trump and the Republicans. But ya know, Trump fear mongers about all that stuff too:

Trump: Democrats will create a ‘socialist nightmare’ if they win

President Trump says his impeachment would 'crash' the economy

At Rally, Trump Says Democrats Would ‘Destroy’ Social Security

Trump warns of World War III if Clinton is elected

Awesome post!

You've beautifully demonstrated how the left routinely mischaracterizes (lies about) the reasons average Americans sit on the right of this issue.

Thanks for the example.

No, I didn't say anything about "the reason average [or not so average] Americans sit on the right" of any issue. Clearly Trump and the GOP believe that fear mongering is effective or they wouldn't do it. Or are you denying that it's fear mongering in the first place?

Ante this was hilarious. I look forward to all the death and destruction. Especially after all the death and destruction already inflicted upon us all by the initial election of Trump and the Republicans.

Its been awful with all this wage growth outpacing inflation, jobs being created exponentially, and the ongoing peace efforts in the Koreas with tangible and symbolic actions. NAFTA being renegotiated, the EU coming to the table on trade, China coming to the table on trade. Everything is just awful.

Whatever happens tomorrow, I predict we'll continue to see an influx of Right Wing Extremist attacks on America. Good thing we banned all them Muslims so that red blooded Republicans can be the ones to murder us on our soil! Blood and soil!!

Notice how things get skipped over on ATS? Somebody faked a hate crime at a synagogue, that's a popular thread. Some wingnut executes a black couple in a Kroger and not a peep. Just a few days ago, a wingnut incel who posted racist rants, MGTOW garbage, anti-immigration videos, etc shot and killed two women in a Tallahassee yoga studio. Threads? None.

Cool story.
What about your anti-Trump komrade who shot up the synagogue?
Don’t forget to check under your bed for Right Wingers tonight.

My "anti-Trump komrade?" That guy's a neo-Nazi and he's anti-Trump because he thinks Trump is in bed "with the Jews." Dude's a violent right-wing extremist. I guarantee he is FAR more ideologically aligned with you than he could ever be with me. So, let's drop the bull#. If he's anyone's "anti-Trump komrade" — it's yours.
