There's a caravan a comin' folks and when it gets here, we are fffffffff---ed! Cartel assassins, ISIS terrorists, smallpox infested lepers and all manners of Central American anchor baby factories are going to surge up through the southern border, rippin' and tearin' a swath of rapin', pillaging, birth right citizenship and rock-throwing murder and mayhem. Remember Kate and hide the ballot boxes — they're rolling through in Rolls-Royces.

And the Soros-funded anti-American left-wing NPC mobs — the real fascists — will cheer them on from the ladies room stalls where they lurk in drag and the doors of elevators where they beat the Jeff Flakes of the world with bike locks and falsely accuse upstanding conservatives of sexual assault! Sarah Huckabee Sanders on a cross! Can a MAGA hat wearing patriot get an entree without being deplatformed by the Deep State? Is no place safe? No restaurant, restroom, Robert E. Lee statue or right-wing YouTube channel!?

Remember when it was just the gay agenda, the war on Christmas, gun grabs and Obama's reluctance to say "Radical Islamic Terrorist" we had to worry about? WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO BE SAFE?!

Apparently, a disturbingly large number of people on the Right can't see abject fear mongering when it's staring them in the face. That's not to say that fear mongering is uncommon in politics or exclusive to Donald Trump and his Republican cohorts — after all, fear is a helluva drug. But damn people, substitute the caravan for the armada and America for France and the mid-term strategy of the Republicans is a narrative that's basically the plot of Le Camp des Saints:

The worker and farmer bring the crowd to the docks, where there are hundreds of ships once owned by European powers, now suited only for river traffic. Nevertheless, the crowd boards, and a hundred ships soon leave for Europe; conditions on board are cramped, unsanitary and miserable, with some passengers publicly fornicating.

When the migrants pass through the Strait of Gibraltar, the French president orders troops to the south and addresses the nation of his plan to repel the migrants

The migrants make their way north, having no desire to assimilate to French culture, but continuing to demand a First World standard of living, even as they flout laws, do not produce, and murder French citizens, such as factory bosses and shopkeepers, as well as the ordinary people who do not welcome them. They are also joined by the immigrants who already reside in Europe, as well as various left-wing and anarchist groups.

A lot of political rhetoric, particularly when it comes to identity politicking, can be characterized as fear mongering (I'm sure that's how many would characterize this very OP) but there's a large and significant difference between gaslighting people with the "War on Christmas" to scare up some extra votes and the scorched earth strategy the demagogues on the Right have resorted to this election cycle — manufacturing crises that include troop deployments on par with our presence in Afghanistan and convincing Americans that if they don't vote Republican, not only are invading hordes of foreigners going to rape them, murder their children and infect everyone with plagues but that the other half of the country is going to dress up like ninjas and try to beat them to death.

And if the Republicans manage to keep both houses of Congress, what then? What happens if the Right embraces this as a continuing strategy? How much more will they need to ratchet it up over the next two years just to keep the base energized?

TLDR all of it. The fear thing isn't so much instilling fear in the specific events (eg, caravan ) but is used to highlight what we have to look forward to should the libs be allowed to be in power. This isn't fear mongering, this is highlighting facts based on current events.

Why do you call it fear mongering when we talk about people abusing our immigration laws, making illegal and unsubstaniated claims and bringing god only knows what into the country?

I would think you would be hard pressed to find any people at the Trump rallies that would tell you they don't want these people in the caravan to enter the country HAD they gone through proper channels and procedures. What again, may we ask, is wrong with that?

Question.

How has your life been negatively changed by Trump in the last 2 years?

For me, I happen to work for a living so I am going to get to keep more of my money. The economy is doing great, lowest unemployment in 50 years, historical records for minority unemployment, fair trade policies....

401 K doing great (though I am wary and moved it out of the market until after the mid-terms)

Damn, I can only hope they can fix healthcare regulation and monopolies before the 2020 election.

So, how has Trump negatively impacted you or anyone you know?

I am not afraid of the caravan, I just don’t want them in the goddamn country illegally.
Get in line and apply for citizenship.

I couldn't get past the first three lines so I'll guess what the topic was... that conservatives will riot in the street if we lose the House?

And my answer is... doubtful. We'll complain for a bit, then start looking to 2020, then hunker down. Occasionally we'll melt the phone lines into DC when one sort of bill or another is being debated.

This was a lot of reading for you to say you are an anti-isolationist. Why are you against America moving away from globalists?

Hey dems, this brah. You used to agree with this. Just a few short years ago, till you needed the votes or whatever this agenda is.

Get it together dems. Your losing your freaking minds.

"It is racist to only allow citizens to vote" : Chuck Schumer

"Just because someone is here illegally does not mean they broke any of our laws" : Nancy Pelosi who will be the majority leader if the house flips blue.

"The next Supreme Court Justice should be an illegal immigrant" Maxine Waters

These are fine examples of the Democratic mind set, No ?>

If people are tired of the economy waking up in the USA where there are more jobs than people looking to work or if they are tired of the tax breaks with more to come, then be sure to vote democrat and we can all be just like other failed economies if they have their way.

It never has been a secret that if corporate taxes are as high or higher than other countries then business will move for the tax advantage and set up shop in the new country. Yet the Democrats fought the cut (and still do)...

I could go on but why.. If people think for themselves a ween their brains from the lies and vile socialist filth that CNN spews on a daily basis I kinda figure they will vote their pocket book and conscience.

Hilarious my friend.
That is exactly right.
I don’t think I bitched about Obama for more than a couple of days in a row here and there in his entire 8 years.
The Leftist bitch, moan and crying fest has been on a 2 year, sold out run since Trump won.

I'm betting the opposite, he hasn't stopped making Trump threads since he tossed his name in the ring and if you ask me, anyone who spends that much time on anti Trump threads must be making some good money.

168 mud pit threads since Trump.

The problem with your count will always be any and all criticism of the cult45 leader constitute as 'anti trump'.

So in 2 years you have agreed with everything trump said or did?
That's more worrying than threads criticizing trump.

the fear mongering is a delicate and lovely tool. It's the same tactics cult leaders/dictatorship use; its just being refurbished and repackaged for today's America.

Do you realize if the left doesn't take both the house and senate there was no blue wave, or we can call it a 6 inch wave. Taking the house would be a no #...That is what happens on a mid term, OK WEEeee blue wave!!!

Awesome post!

You've beautifully demonstrated how the left routinely mischaracterizes (lies about) the reasons average Americans sit on the right of this issue.

Thanks for the example.
