Send Hubble to orbit the moon?

Ok another idea to save a very expensive piece of equipment we paid for.

Instead of sending it to crash into the atmosphere.. why not send it to orbit the moon to wait there for a day when we start colonizing the moon. We will then be able to salvage parts or refit or fix it. Seems such a waste to spend all that money to put equipment up there to only let it burn up in the atmosphere.

Heck I bet some wiz somewere could figure out just the right way to land it on the moon with minimal loss so we could perhaps reuse the metals etc.. some day on the moon.

There really isn't much you can use form the Hubble that would help the colonization of the moon. Come to think of it, I think it would be better to put it on a shuttle and bring to back down to earth to be put on exhibit. It obviously has its place in history.
